Abstract: Aspects relate to adaptation of the modulation and coding scheme (MCS) of a downlink transmission to a scheduled entity that overlaps in time with an uplink transmission from the scheduled entity when the scheduled entity is operating in a full-duplex mode. A transport block corresponding to the downlink transmission may include a plurality of code block groups (CBGs). When at least a portion of the CBGs overlap in time with the uplink transmission, the MCS of the entire transport block or the MCS of the overlapping CBGs may be adjusted to accommodate and/or mitigate interference between downlink and uplink transmissions. The CBGs may further be time-interleaved over a plurality of symbols allocated for the downlink transmission to accommodate and/or mitigate interference between downlink and uplink transmissions. Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive a system information block (SIB) indicating a plurality of subband configurations. The UE may identify, based at least in part on one or more of the plurality of subband configurations, one or more uplink subbands in a time division duplexing (TDD) component carrier and one or more downlink subbands in the TDD component carrier. The one or more uplink subbands and the one or more downlink subbands may be frequency division duplexed within the TDD component carrier. Numerous other aspects are provided.

Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, devices, apparatus and methods, including computer programs encoded on storage media, for interference measurement and reporting by a UE. The interference measurement can be self-initiated by the UE or based on a request received from a BS. To measure the interference, the UE transmits a first signal in UL resources to a first BS concurrently with receiving a second signal in DL resources from one of the first BS or a second BS. The received second signal includes interference associated with the transmitted first signal. Based on the received second signal, the UE determines a level of the interference that is associated with the transmitted first signal. Information associated with the level of the interference is then transmitted to the first BS, such as an indication of a guard band that is to be incorporated between the UL resources and the DL resources.

Abstract: Wireless communications systems and methods related to communicating a serving cell dormancy indication field and acknowledgement. In some implementations, a wireless communication device (e.g., user equipment), may detect a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) with a secondary cell (Scell) dormancy indication field. The user equipment can change states from an initial state to another state (e.g., a dormancy-like state to a non-dormancy like state) based on detecting Scell indicator field in the PDCCH. The user equipment may also transmit a hybrid-ARQ acknowledgment (HARQ-ACK) in response to the detecting the PDCCH with the Scell dormancy indication field. Other aspects and features are also claimed and described.

Abstract: This disclosure provides methods, devices and systems for channel sounding for wireless communications. Some implementations more specifically relate to scheduling sounding reference signal (SRS) resource sets for wireless devices having more than 4 receive (RX) antenna ports. In some implementations, a base station may determine an antenna switching capability of a user equipment (UE). The antenna switching capability indicates a number of RX antenna ports of the UE. The base station schedules a number of SRS resource sets for the UE based at least in part on the number of RX antenna ports in excess of four. For example, the number of RX antenna ports may be equal to 8. As another example, the number of RX antenna ports may be equal to 6. The base station further receives, from the UE, uplink transmissions of one or more SRS resources for each of the scheduled SRS resource sets.

Abstract: An apparatus for wireless communication transmits a demodulation reference signal (DMRS) for at least eight orthogonal DMRS ports in a single symbol of at least one slot. The apparatus also transmits data in the at least one slot. The apparatus may correspond to a base station transmitting DMRS and downlink data. The apparatus may correspond to a user equipment (UE) transmitting DMRS and uplink data. The apparatus may bundle the DMRS across multiple slots with a bundled DMRS including a first set of the DMRS ports in a first single symbol of a first slot and a second set of the DMRS ports in a second single symbol of a second slot. The apparatus may transmit the DMRS in only a single slot in a physical resource block group (PRG) including two or more resource blocks using four frequency domain orthogonal cover codes (FD-OCC) and a frequency offset pattern.

Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for carrier group based multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) layers and antenna adaptation. A method that may be performed by a user equipment (UE) includes receiving a configuration of one or more groups of component carriers (CCs) and, for each group of CCs, one or more sets of configured maximum number of MIMO layers. Each set includes a configured maximum number of MIMO layers associated with each CC in the group. The UE receives an indication of at least one of the one or more sets and determines the configured maximum number of MIMO layers associated with each CC in the corresponding group of CCs based on the indication.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A user equipment (UE) may apply an uplink muting maximum power reduction (UM-MPR) to uplink transmissions based on receiving an activation for uplink muting (e.g., activation of a muting pattern). The UE may apply the UM-MPR to an uplink transmission associated with a first muting pattern based on the first muting pattern being from a set of muting patterns, or from a subset of the set of muting patterns. In some examples, the UE may identify a value of the UM-MPR for the uplink transmission based on the first uplink muting pattern applied to the uplink transmission, a waveform type of the uplink transmission, a modulation scheme of the uplink transmission, a type of uplink resource allocation of the uplink transmission, or any combination thereof.
