Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Generally, the described techniques provide for performing initial access procedures including transmitting or receiving synchronization signal blocks (SSBs) based on a capability of a user equipment (UE) to use reconfigurable intelligent surfaces (RISs). In some examples, a base station may transmit SSBs using two synchronization raster grids. For example, the base station may transmit SSBs on a first synchronization raster grid for UEs that do not support RISs and on a second synchronization raster grid for UEs that support RISs. In some examples, a base station may transmit different types of SSBs. For example, a base station may transmit a first type of SSB for UEs that do not support RISs and a second type of SSB for UEs that support RISs. A UE may search for and receive SSBs according to a capability of the UE.

Abstract: Apparatus, methods, and computer-readable media for facilitating an early indication of a power saving mode are disclosed herein. The early indication of the power saving mode may enable a receiver to adapt to the operation of a network according to the indicated power saving mode. In some examples, a transmitter may provide the early indication via an SSB. For example, the transmitter may select a synchronization signal that maps to a power saving mode. In some examples, a transmitter may provide the early indication via a message of a random access procedure. The receiver receiving the early indication may apply configurations or behavior to communicate based on the indicated power saving mode.

A method of wireless communication includes receiving scheduling information from a base station, wherein: the scheduling information schedules transmission of a plurality of uplink channel repetitions in a plurality of slots, the plurality of uplink channel repetitions is associated with a first sequence of redundancy versions (RVs), each repetition in the plurality of uplink channel repetitions assigned a different RV in the first sequence of RVs, and the plurality of slots include at least one full duplex slot comprising an uplink subband for uplink transmissions and a downlink subband for downlink transmissions; receiving an indication to cancel one or more repetitions of the plurality of uplink channel repetitions scheduled by the scheduling information; and taking one or more actions related to transmitting one or more remaining non-canceled repetitions of the plurality of UL channel repetitions.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some wireless communications system, a base station may schedule multiple user equipment (UEs) for unicast transmissions using a single downlink control information (DCI) format. For example, a first UE may receive, from a base station, DCI that includes unicast scheduling information for multiple UEs including the first UE. The first UE may determine, from the unicast scheduling information, a set of resources on which to communicate data with the base station. In such cases, the UE may transmit or receive data transmissions using the determined set of resources. In some examples, each UE of the multiple UEs may determine respective sets of resources based on one or more UE-specific transformation rules applied to common scheduling parameters of the DCI.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A receiving device (such as a user equipment (UE)) may receive from a transmitting device (such as a base station), a configuration of full duplex communication resources for a set of slots. The receiving device may receive a pre-emption indication identifying that at least a portion of the full duplex communication resources in one or more slots of the set of slots is unavailable for communication, and may determine a remaining portion of the full duplex communication resources in the one or more slots based on the received pre-emption indication. The receiving device may then communicate with the transmitting device using the remaining portion of the full duplex communication resources.
