Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Generally, the described techniques provide for performing initial access procedures including transmitting or receiving synchronization signal blocks (SSBs) based on a capability of a user equipment (UE) to use reconfigurable intelligent surfaces (RISs). In some examples, a base station may transmit SSBs using two synchronization raster grids. For example, the base station may transmit SSBs on a first synchronization raster grid for UEs that do not support RISs and on a second synchronization raster grid for UEs that support RISs. In some examples, a base station may transmit different types of SSBs. For example, a base station may transmit a first type of SSB for UEs that do not support RISs and a second type of SSB for UEs that support RISs. A UE may search for and receive SSBs according to a capability of the UE.

Abstract: Apparatus, methods, and computer-readable media for facilitating an early indication of a power saving mode are disclosed herein. The early indication of the power saving mode may enable a receiver to adapt to the operation of a network according to the indicated power saving mode. In some examples, a transmitter may provide the early indication via an SSB. For example, the transmitter may select a synchronization signal that maps to a power saving mode. In some examples, a transmitter may provide the early indication via a message of a random access procedure. The receiver receiving the early indication may apply configurations or behavior to communicate based on the indicated power saving mode.

Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for repetition cancellation in full duplex communications. A method of wireless communication includes receiving scheduling information from a base station, wherein: the scheduling information schedules transmission of a plurality of uplink channel repetitions in a plurality of slots, the plurality of uplink channel repetitions is associated with a first sequence of redundancy versions (RVs), each repetition in the plurality of uplink channel repetitions assigned a different RV in the first sequence of RVs, and the plurality of slots include at least one full duplex slot comprising an uplink subband for uplink transmissions and a downlink subband for downlink transmissions; receiving an indication to cancel one or more repetitions of the plurality of uplink channel repetitions scheduled by the scheduling information; and taking one or more actions related to transmitting one or more remaining non-canceled repetitions of the plurality of UL channel repetitions.

Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for skipping or using actual repetitions. A method that may be performed by a user equipment (UE) includes receiving, from a base station, a configuration indicating resources for a first repetition and a second repetition in a physical uplink control channel (PUCCH). In certain aspects, the method may also include transmitting the first repetition, wherein the first repetition includes a larger symbol length than the second repetition, the resources for the first repetition multiplex a plurality of transmissions from first UEs including the UE, the resources for the second repetition multiplex a plurality of transmissions from second UEs, and a quantity of the first UEs is larger than a quantity of the second UEs.

Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive, from a network node, downlink control information (DCI) that includes a semi-persistent scheduling (SPS) activation indication. The UE may receive, from the network node, an SPS physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) based at least in part on the SPS activation indication, wherein the SPS PDSCH is associated with one or more transmission parameters that are based at least in part on an antenna adaptation configuration applicable to the SPS PDSCH. Numerous other aspects are described.
