Abstract: The invention presents a cloud-based model deployment and control system (CMDCS) for providing automated driving services. The CMDCS comprises a cloud-based platform, an onboard unit (OBU), and a Vehicle-to-System component. The cloud-based platform comprises a localization-enhancement subsystem and a cloud computing module. The CMDCS is configured to collect detectable data and undetectable data from vehicles, road, and cloud. Then, the CMDCS deploys a set of end-to-end AI models and methods for automated driving services, comprising sensing, prediction, planning, and control services. The AI models and methods are trained and optimized to process collected data for providing operating parameters for vehicles. Then, the vehicles can be effectively and efficiently controlled and operated by the CMDCS. In addition, the CMDCS is configured to generate and provide detailed time-sensitive vehicle specific control instructions.

Abstract: Systems and methods for automated surveillance of a fleet of vehicles in a parking area using vehicle sensors on various fleet vehicles. In particular, the vehicles in a parking area can be observed and monitored using sensors on a subset of the vehicles. The field of view of each vehicle and overall map coverage of a parking area can be used to determine which vehicles to use for surveillance and/or which sensors on various vehicles to use for surveillance. Thus, surveillance can be optimized using fleet knowledge of vehicle locations within a facility and the scope of coverage of various vehicle sensors to determine where there is overlap in coverage. Appropriate sensors on certain vehicles can be selectively activated to maintain secure coverage without burning resources unnecessarily.

Abstract: Technologies and techniques for expanding an information cluster of a trajectory class. A trajectory is taken for a vehicle and a location-specific characteristic of the vehicle is acquired, and/or a vehicle-specific characteristic of the vehicle is acquired when taking the trajectory. The location-specific characteristic of the vehicle is provided and/or the vehicle-specific characteristic of the vehicle is provided. Additional steps include generating an actual trajectory by assigning the location-specific characteristic and/or the vehicle-specific characteristic to the taken trajectory, and comparing the actual trajectory with a comparison trajectory. The actual trajectory is assigned to one of two different trajectory classes depending on the comparison, such that the trajectory class into which the actual trajectory is classified is expanded in relation to its information cluster.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for monitoring vehicles traversing a dedicated roadway that includes an at-grade crossing. In some implementations, a system includes a central server, a gate system, and sensors. The gate system provides access to an at-grade crossing for vehicles. The sensors are positioned in a fixed location relative to a roadway, the roadway including the at-grade crossing. Each sensor can detect vehicles on the roadway. For each vehicle, each sensor can generate sensor data and observational data from the generated sensor data. Each sensor can determine a likelihood that the detected vehicle will approach the at-grade crossing by comparing the likelihood to a threshold. In response, each sensor can transmit data to the gate system that causes the gate system to allow the autonomous vehicle access to the at-grade crossing prior to the autonomous vehicle reaching the gate system.

The system then transmits the sequence of instructions to a computing device of the driver.
