摘要： A fence construction system and a method for building such a fence are provided. The fence looks like a wall and has wall characteristics, such as a post-tension condition, but is much less expensive and easier to build. A ratcheting system or tensioning system is used to tension the tensile wires which are then secured to the fence posts. A wire lath is applied to the tensile wires and coating material is then applied to the surface of the wire lath. After forming the fence construction, the tensile wires are released and the ratcheting posts are removed. The fence construction system can be used to build a fence portion of up to 300 feet long at one time.

摘要： A fence line layout including a first and second termination post, and optional intermediate fence posts. Each termination post is braced to provide tension on fencing material which is attached between them. The fencing material is attached to the first termination post by means of a friction insert process. The fencing material is attached to the second termination posts by means of a tensioning device operated by a single person which can be used to tighten the entire length of the fence line. The fence line system disclosed is less expensive and easier to set up then existing systems.

摘要： A chain link fence system has end, corner, or gate posts, each comprising a tubular metal post with a series of spaced, vertically-aligned openings along at least one side thereof. A supporting cross bar extends from one post to another and has a horizontally-positioned, apertured tonguemember at each end positioned in the top side opening of the post with the apertures oriented vertically. The end links of a chain link fence are positioned in the vertically aligned openings and a retaining rod inserted downwardly through the aperture in the tongue member and through the end links of chain link fence to secure the cross bar and the chain link fence wire to the post. A cap member covers the top of the post. The chain link fence is preferably secured to intermediate line posts by a novel retaining wire tie of a heavy bendable wire having the initial shape of a shepherd's crook and self closing at the crook end when properly installed. An alternate embodiment has a plurality of retainer members which fit in and are retained by the openings in each post and have openings which receive a retaining rod to secure the ends of a chain link fence thereon.

摘要： A device for securing one end of fencing material, having a post extending into the ground with its bottom portion having outwardly extending flanges. A wire stretching device including a yoke with a turning rod passing therethrough to which is attached the wiring material comprising the fence, with the turning rod rotated to tighten the fence and a locking device for preventing the rod from counter-rotating. A tensioning device connecting the wire stretching device to the post which has a first and second sleeve with the second sleeve generally disposed within the first sleeve. A resiliant element connected to the second sleeve and adjustably connected to the first sleeve permits the second sleeve to move within the first sleeve. Selectively adjusting the resiliant element the tensioning device maintains the fence at a proper tautness. The device is adaptable to be an electrified fence and to utilize automated equipment in the setting of the posts in the ground.

摘要： A stretcher apparatus for tightening multiple wire fences. The apparatus preferably comprises a pair of spaced apart, vertically parallel pulling angle members, a pair of horizontally disposed, rotatable adjusting rods extending between the pulling members and threadably coupled thereto, and a plurality of eye bolts secured in vertically spaced apart relation to each pulling angle member and adapted to be attached to the individual wire elements of a fence to be tightened. The pulling rods each comprise a central turnbuckle to which first and second threaded segments are weldably secured. Each turnbuckle is fastened to lefthand and righthand threaded segments threadably received by opposite pulling angle members. Rotation of the turnbuckles draws the fence elements together. Elongated reinforcement members are rigidly secured to the pulling angle members between the first and second adjusting rods to prevent deformation of the pulling angle members when the apparatus is operated.
