    摘要: A method of beneficiation of complex sulfide ores comprises crushing and grinding complex sulfide ore containing sulfides of copper, zinc, iron and other minerals, subjecting the ground ores to differential flotation to obtain a bulk copper-zinc concentrate which is separate from pyrite and gangue, and passing the bulk copper-zinc concentrate through a high-gradient magnetic separator having an open-bore magnetic field filled with a matrix element, so as to recover separately a magnetic copper concentrate and a non-magnetic zinc concentrate. By combining the differential flotation with high-gradient magnetic separation, the present invention enables individual separation of copper and zinc concentrates without using many reagents in high volumes and by a simple process control.

    摘要: A method and a magnetic separator are disclosed particularly for the removal of particles of low magnetic susceptibility, present usually as impurities and often largely of submicron sizes, from aqueous slurries of clay or other minute mineral particles. A high intensity magnetic field is established between vertically spaced pole members in the general direction of flow of the slurry through a canister disposed between confronting surfaces of the pole members, the canister being packed with multitudinous elongate ferromagnetic elements which present surface irregularities with each contacting, yet also spaced from others, so as to constitute a flux conductive matrix that diverts the slurry flow into diverse courses and concentrates the flux at myriad points therein. With the magnetic field being applied, the slurry flow is continued until the collecting of weakly magnetic particles onto the matrix elements has diminished substantially, whereupon residual slurry may be rinsed from the canister by a gentle flow of water. Then the magnetizing of the matrix is discontinued and water is forced through the matrix to flush collected particles out of the canister.

    摘要: An electromagnetic filter for removing iron oxide from the feed water of boilers in steam power plants includes a filter bed of metal balls disposed within a vessel and an excitation coil located about the vessel in the ova of the filter bed. The excitation coil has passages for passing a cooling medium and a jacket disposed about the excitation coil has inlet openings and outlet openings for the cooling medium. The arrangement being such that the jacket serves to facilitate passage of the cooling medium while providing a magnetic yoke for improving the magnetization of the metal balls.

    摘要: Proposed is a process for separating a leach residue from which a hematite-containing material that can be used as a raw material for ironmaking can be obtained, and provided is a production process of hematite for ironmaking from the leach residue. The process for producing hematite for ironmaking using, as a raw material, the leach residue in a slurry state obtained from a hydrometallurgical plant for nickel oxide ore utilizing a high pressure acid leach process comprises in sequence: a first step of separating the leach residue in a slurry state into an overflow and an underflow using a wet cyclone; a second step of separating the overflow into a strong magnetic component and a weak magnetic component using a strong-magnetic-field magnetic separator utilizing magnetic force; and a third step of sintering the separated strong magnetic component at a temperature of 1150 to 1350° C. to form a sintered body.
