摘要: A medical advice generator device (100) comprising an input unit (102) arranged to receive a query and/or personal data from a patient; an advice generator unit (100a) for generation of personalized medical advice to a patient; an output unit (104) arranged to provide a patient with information; said medical advice generator device (100) being arranged to communicate with a first storage (106) to register said personal data entered by the patient; said medical advice generator device being arranged to communicate with a second storage (107) containing health-related data using said query, in order to retrieve a matching response based on a weighted and normalized n-gram similarity function; and modify the matching response using said personal data as well as the patient's history of interaction with the system; and arranged to provide the response to a user display. One of the most important advantages of the present invention is that it provides personalized medical advice which is adapted to the patient's personal needs, e.g. with respect to his/her current mental state or history of interaction with the system.

摘要: A method for using a health information exchange system which stores patient record data regarding a multiplicity of patients, to serve a first plurality of EMRs each interacting with an EMR community including a set of at least one EMR, the method comprising: for each individual EMR within the first plurality of EMRs, performing a computerized context interception process using a processor to intercept context from the individual EMR and to identify there within an event whereby a health provider using the individual EMR calls up an individual patient's record from said individual EMR; and responsive to identification of the event, using a computerized output device for providing patient record data, pertaining to the individual patient, to the health provider.

摘要: A method and system may provide an automated pharmacy processing system which automatically processes an electronic prescription by converting the electronic prescription into a pharmacy prescription record. In this way, an electronic prescription can be filled by a pharmacist without manual data entry. The system receives an electronic prescription and compares data from the electronic prescription with entries in one or more pharmacy database(s). When there is a match between the electronic prescription data and an entry in the one or more pharmacy database(s), the system populates the pharmacy prescription record with data from the matching pharmacy database entry. If all of the data fields from the pharmacy prescription record have been populated the pharmacist can fill the electronic prescription.

摘要: A system and method of confirming administration of medication in a clinical trial is provided. The method comprises the steps of receiving information identifying a particular medication prescription regimen in accordance with the clinical trial, determining one or more procedures for administering such prescription regimen and identifying one or more activity sequences associated with such procedures. Activity sequences of actual administration of such prescription regimen are captured and then compared to the identified activity sequences to determine differences therebetween. A notice is provided if differences are determined.

摘要: A programmed computer system receives an imaging study of the patient including metadata associated with the study. The metadata are analyzed to determine an anatomic region represented by the study. Additional imaging studies for the same patient are requested and the metadata associated with the additional studies are analyzed to determine relevant studies for the same or adjacent anatomic regions. Once the relevant prior studies have been identified, the computer requests the images associated with the identified prior imaging studies including the associated reports for review by a physician or other medical personnel.

The disease progression prediction system comprises a processor that executes computer executable components stored in memory. A receiving component receives and learns observational patient data. A model generation component builds a preliminary disease progression model. An identification component identifies discriminative clinical features for different disease stages. A ranking component ranks discriminative powers of clinical features for respective pairs of disease stages; wherein the model generation component employs the ranked features to generate a final disease progression model.

摘要: A method for updating a patient registration during a surgical procedure is disclosed. The surgical procedure uses an optical navigation system for optically tracking a patient reference object in a real world space and includes intra-operatively acquiring a first set of image data depicting a region of interest on the patient while the first registration is intact. The region of interest includes at least one anatomical landmark. The method includes: detecting that the first registration has been lost; obtaining a second set of image data depicting the region of interest; identifying a transform based on the first set of image data and the second set of image data; and applying the identified transform to data points of the first registration to obtain data points for the updated patient registration.
