    摘要: A wire management method using a wire manager including current sensing features provides input for power measurement and management systems. The wire manager may be a single wire or single bundle retaining device with a current sensor such as a hall effect sensor integrated therein, or may be a multi-wire management housing with multiple current sensing devices disposed inside for measuring the current through multiple wires. The wires may be multiple branch circuits in a power distribution panel or raceway, and the wire manager may be adapted for mounting in such a panel or raceway. Voltage sensing may also be incorporated within the sensors by providing an electrically conductive plate, wire or other element that capacitively couples to the corresponding wire.

    摘要: A readout apparatus for a current type touch panel is provided. The readout apparatus includes a current-to-voltage converter, a voltage gain unit and an analog-to-digital converter (ADC). The current-to-voltage converter converts a sensing current of the current type touch panel to a sensing voltage. The current-to-voltage converter includes a resistor and a current mirror. The resistor has a first end and a second end. The current mirror has a master current end and a slave current end. An input end of the voltage gain unit is coupled to an output end of the current-to-voltage converter for receiving the sensing voltage. An input end of the ADC is coupled to an output end of the voltage gain unit. An output end of the ADC generates a digital code.

    摘要: An electrical meter 10 comprises a housing 12 with a spool 14 rotatably mounted therein. A first lead cable 16 and a second lead cable 18 are wound upon the spool 14. A wound spring 90 is connected to the spool and biases the spool against rotation in a direction that allows the lead cables to be unwound. A first head 20 and a second head 22 are respectively included on the end of the first lead cable 16 and the second lead cable 18. The heads abut against the housing and prevent the lead cables from being completely wound upon the spool when the meter is not in use. A circuit board 30 with electrical measurement circuitry is also mounted within the housing 12. The circuit board is electrically connected to a display 40 positioned on the outside of the housing 12.

    摘要: The configurable adapter uses a relatively few components which allow it to be configured to have different heights to fit different switchboard cases. It includes a bracket designed to hold a particular type of meter or power monitor, with different brackets available to be assembled as a component of the configurable adapter. A new class of electricity revenue meters called a narrow base socket meter is described, and shown. The narrow base socket meter is adapted from a conventional socket meter which has a sufficiently narrow body by trimming its sides, top, and/or bottom, as necessary, to fit within the switchboard adapter, using a bracket which places the meter within the switchboard adapter so that its face can be flush with (or barely stick out from) the face of the switchboard. The adapter can also be used with standard socket base meters, which will stick out of the front of the switchboard panel, as well as with power monitoring devices by using suitable brackets, as described.

    摘要: An electric meter tamper detection system for sensing removal of an electric meter from a corresponding meter socket and for generating a tamper signal is disclosed. In this system, the tamper signal is relayed to a headend when the electric meter--connected in series with and monitoring current flow through at least one conductor--has been removed from the meter socket. At least one resistor is electrically connected to the line-side of the conductor. A light emitting diode is electrically coupled to the resistor and to the load-side of the conductor. A transistor receives the tamper signal from the light emitting diode when the electric meter is removed from the meter socket. A microprocessor is coupled to the transistor, receives the tamper signal from the transistor, and relays the tamper signal to said headend. Thus, the headend is immediately notified if and when the electric meter is removed from its meter socket. A modular meter based utility gateway enclosure which resides between a power meter and a meter socket of a residence or other building supports multiple interchangeable local area network (LAN) and wide area network (WAN) interface cards is also disclosed.
