    摘要: Hardened surface layers (12) and (14) of a nitride or other compound, which is higher in hardness than dirt or soil, are formed on the inner peripheral surface (11B) of each metal bush (11) and on the outer peripheral surface (13A) of each connecting pin (13) which constitute a crawler belt (7), respectively. In addition, resinous sliding bearings (15) which are each formed of an ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene-base resin are fitted in transversely spaced positions on the inner periphery of each metal bush (11) of the crawler belt. The resinous sliding bearing (15) is provided with a plural number of recessed grooves (16) on and around its inner periphery as axially extended grooves. Accordingly, part of soil or dirt which intrudes into a gap space between an outer link portion (9) of a track link and a metal bush (11) through an annular seal member (17) is trapped on an inner peripheral surface (15A) of the resinous sliding bearing (15) in an embedded state, while remainder of the intruding soil is trapped in the recessed grooves (16).

    摘要: A load-carrying transport apparatus for moving a heavy load, such as an oil drilling rig, over a surface includes a substructure for carrying the load, a track member positioned on the surface adjacent the substructure and a plurality of lift assemblies mounted on the substructure selectively operable for extension toward the surface to engage the track member and raise the substructure above the surface so that it is carried on the track member. The lift assemblies are also operable for retraction to lower the substructure onto the surface. A shifter mechanism disposed adjacent to the substructure and the track member is selectively operable for displacing the substructure along the track member when the lifting assemblies have been extended toward the surface to raise the substructure above the surface. The shifter mechanism is also operable for displacing the track member on the surface relative to the substructure when the lifting assemblies have been retracted and disengaged from the track member. The track member is dimensioned to provide a steering area and at least one of the lifting assemblies is selectively positionable to a predetermined angle within a range for moving in the steering area along the track member so that the load-carrying apparatus can be steered along a selected direction.

    摘要: A tension adjustment assembly for a tracked vehicle, the tracked vehicle including a frame, an endless track, a track-engaging wheel supported by the frame, and a second track-engaging wheel supported by the frame in spaced relation to the first track-engaging wheel. The first track-engaging wheel and the second track-engaging wheel are rotatable about a first axis and a second axis, respectively. The endless track extends about the first track-engaging wheel and the second track-engaging wheel, and the track has a tension. The first track-engaging wheel is movable relative to the frame in a direction perpendicular to the first axis to adjust the tension of the track. The assembly further comprises a tension adjustment mechanism connected to the first track-engaging wheel and operable to move the first track-engaging wheel, the tension adjustment mechanism including a rotatable member rotatable about a rotational axis to cause movement of the first track-engaging wheel relative to the frame. The assembly also includes a shaft rotatably supported by the frame for rotation about a shaft axis generally transverse to the rotational axis; and a coupling connected between the shaft and the rotatable member to translate rotation of the shaft into rotation of the rotatable member to thereby move the first track-engaging wheel and adjust the tension of the track.

    摘要: An articulated tracked vehicle that has a main section, which includes a main frame, and a forward section. The main frame has two sides and a front end, and includes a pair of parallel main tracks. Each main track includes a flexible continuous belt coupled to a corresponding side of the main frame. The forward section includes an elongated arm. One end of the arm is pivotally coupled to the main frame near the forward end of the main frame about a transverse axis that is generally perpendicular to the sides of the main frame. The arm has a length sufficiently long to allow the forward section to extend below the main section in at least some degrees of rotation of the arm, and a length shorter than the length of the main section. The center of mass of the main section is located forward of the rearmost point reached by the end of the arm in its pivoting about the transverse axis. The main section is contained within the volume defined by the main tracks and is symmetrical about a horizontal plane, thereby allowing inverted operation of the robot.

Translational supports are attached to the stair chair stretcher assembly to allow medical transport personnel to move a patient up and down steps without having to hand carry the patient.     摘要: A half-track all-terrain vehicle having an independent suspension system that provides an improved vehicle ride and facilitates traversing obstacles. The vehicle includes a frame, a pair of beams that each holds front and rear wheels, and a suspension system extending between the each beam and the frame. The suspension system includes a plurality of cushions. The cushions are tuned such that forward cushions have a relatively greater suspension stroke than the rearward cushions and thereby permit the front wheels to engage the ground sequentially before the rear wheels when the vehicle goes over a step or drop off. The suspension system is further tuned to permit the vehicle to traverse an obstacle having a height that is slightly lower than the frame clearance by permitting the front wheels to lift vertically to a distance essentially equal to the frame clearance.
