A first sorter and a second sorter, for example, are linked to a stencil printer in an online configuration. A sorter to be used can be freely selected or can be automatically selected by the control device. A sorter link mode key is pressed in a particular manner to select one of a first sorfer priority mode, second sorter priority mode, first sorter only mode, and second sorter only mode. 摘要： To transport, store, process and handle and distribute a plurality of printed products, retained in cassettes on a minimum of space, the cassettes are vertically stored, preferably in pairs. Transport can occur in a predetermined plane, of full and empty cassettes, respectively, the cassettes being moved within the storage elements by horizontal and vertical or lift transport elements, so that the cassettes can be moved in all directions of the three-dimensional storage structures and removed from any one position. The cassettes can be loaded on carts or carriages and coupled together to be moved in form of trains by a drive head (28) past product delivery stations, such as folding apparatus (9, 13) coupled to printing machine units (1-8), for placement in the storage racks; and removed from the cassettes, collected in groups in pivotable holders (116-119), with two, each, holders facing each other and pivoting towards each other so that the groups of products in the holders will be cross-positioned on the delivery or removal apparatus, for example a transport belt (124).

摘要： The printed products arriving in an imbricated formation are wound up into wound product packages or coils each having a substantially horizontally disposed longitudinal axis. These wound products packages possess a predetermined size and an inherent stability which permit them to be transported and intermediately stored such that their longitudinal axes extend substantially vertically without the wound product packages disintegrating or unraveling. After forming the wound product packages they are transferred from a standing position into a reclining or reposing position by means of a package turning device. In this reclining or reposing position the longitudinal axes of the wound product packages extend substantially vertically. These wound product packages are supported only at their circumference or are only held at their winding cores and are not supported in any further manner.

摘要： A sheet feeding unit includes a stack elevator which raises the top of a supported stack of sheets to infeed height. A sensor senses the position of the top sheets of the stack, to ascertain whether these exhibit improper left or right offset. Depending upon the magnitude and size of the sensed offset, the stack elevator is correctively shifted, to minimize offset at the top of the stack. Although the sensor is located to only one side of the stack, not at both sides of the stack, it is capable of sensing offset in both left and right directions. When the elevator is lowered, for the laying in of a fresh stack, it is automatically brought to a centered position.
