    摘要: A concrete test-cylinder carrying apparatus includes a handle, a base-plate, a plurality of anchor rods engaged with the handle and a plurality support rings horizontally aligned above the base plate. Concrete test cylinders are removably positioned through the support rings and rest on the base plate such that test cylinders are swiftly transported between remote locations. In an alternate embodiment, a first mechanism may be provided for uniformly reciprocating a male handle portion along a linear travel path to absorb operating forces exerted on the concrete test cylinders during transport procedures. A second mechanism may be provided for uniformly articulating the male handle portion along clockwise and counter clockwise arcuate paths to further absorb operating forces exerted on the concrete test cylinders during transport.

The workpiece mounting unit may have a workpiece table or a workpiece chucking device. In order to form an enlarged access to the work area of the machine tool, one side wall is shorter at the front than the other side wall. Further, the linear guides or guide rails mounted to the side walls of the machine frame may be aligned at an acute angle α to the vertical center plane of the machine frame.

    摘要: An improved design and method is disclosed to disassemble a milling machine for transport and to reassemble it when transport is complete. The invention essentially comprises a hinge located at the bottom of the mill column to facilitate the disassembly and subsequent reassembly of the mill column from the mill base. The hinge protects the precise alignment surfaces at the bottom of the mill column and the top of the mill base from damage during both assembly and disassembly. In addition, it guides and stabilizes the column which makes it easier to remove and reattach the mill column to the mill base. By separating the milling machine into two components transportation is made easier and it becomes possible to install a milling in many locations that were previously inaccessible. The simplicity of the method will be advantageous for shops where space constraints make milling machine installation difficult.

    摘要: A sliding guide apparatus guides a movable member for a base. A pair of guide surfaces is formed on the base. A pair of sliding surfaces is formed on the movable member as so to be opposed to the pair of guide surfaces, respectively. Lubricating oil is supplied between the guide surface and the sliding surface. The sliding surface is configured so that one half portion of the sliding surface which is close to the center of gravity of the movable member is asymmetric with the other half portion of the sliding surface which is far from the center of gravity of the movable member. Since load of the movable member that acts disproportionately on the sliding surface is balanced with dynamic pressure of the lubricating oil that occurs between the guide surface and the sliding surface, it is prevented that the movable member is slanted.

The alignment element is provided by slots therein and sliding friction therebetween for errors in alignment between the blocks can be accommodated to thereby reduce the loads induced in the guides from misalignment.
