    摘要: In a process for the separation of the water resulting during coking in a small salt-rich fraction and a large salt-poor fraction, the crude gas, after being cooled in the condenser is directed through an electrofilter, prior to entering the primary coolers. Thereby, the condensate resulting from the condenser and the discharge of the electrofilter are united in the tar separator, while the condensate of the primary coolers is partially returned to the condenser circuit and the balance is the salt-poor fraction. Oppositely thereto, the aqueous phase of the tar separator is further treated as the salt-rich fraction. After exiting the electrofilter, the crude gas can be fractionally cooled also in several primary coolers.

    摘要: The present invention cleans gas produced from solid carbonaceous materials in a two stage gas producer. Second stage gas from the gas producer is passed through a first precipitator to remove oil mist and particulates from the second stage gas. First stage gas from the gas producer is passed through a cyclone to remove particulates from the first stage gas. The first stage gas from the cyclone is cooled and then mixed with the second stage gas from the first precipitator. The temperature of the gas mixture is maintained at least at the temperature of the second stage gas. The gas mixture is cooled to a temperature in the range of about 25.degree. F. to about 125.degree. F. above the water dew point of the gas mixture. The cooled gas mixture is subsequently passed through a second precipitator to remove oil mist and particulates from the gas mixture and to yield an industrial usable gas.

    摘要: The process described herein comprises the mixing of a chilled gas into a stream of gas-suspended particles. Preferably the chilled gas is the same as the gas in which the particles are suspended and the particles are electrostatically charged. A novel device is described which provides a chamber extending lengthwise of the device into which channels feed the chilled gas into the particle suspension. The chilled gas is introduced from an external cooling system with the gas being advantageously cooled during passage through a coil whose outer walls are cooled by liquid nitrogen or dry ice. This process and device are of particular utility in a system for the spraying of electrostatically charged particles.

    摘要: A proces for separation of dry particulate matter, such as molten slag droplets and/or solid particles, from a hot gas is disclosed in which the gas is first cooled to a temperature in the range from 50.degree. to 500.degree. C. The greater part of the particulate matter is removed from the cooler gas by means of at least one cyclone separator. The gas is then scrubbed with water in a scrubber. Cooling of the hot gas to the lower temperature range is performed by injecting into the hot gas at least part of a purified product gas formed by the process and at least part of an aqueous suspension of particulate matter obtained during scrubbing.
