摘要： The basic technical concept of the invention resides in a horizontal type band saw machine adapted to utilize the method of maintaining the band saw blade at a travelling speed selected depending upon the property and shape of the material to be machined, of introducing operating fluid or an hydraulic mechanism controlling raising and lowering of a housing accommodating said band saw blade into a plunger pump at a speed in accordance with an effective weight of the housing, and of sending out the thus introduced operating fluid by driving the plunger pump periodically in a cycle corresponding to the travelling speed of the band saw blade. The machine of the invention comprises novel mechanisms such as a mechanism for imparting a predetermined tension to the band saw blade, a safety mechanism for detecting slippage of the band saw blade, a guide mechanism comprising a combination of specially arranged rollershaped guide member and plate-like guide member, a mechanism comprising a plurality of supporting means for supporting the back of the band saw blade, a mechanism for detecting conditions of the feeding material, a feed roller mechanism, and a mechanism for securely clamping sawn pieces.

摘要： For use with a bending press, a jig apparatus of relatively simple design for setting a lower die in complete alignment with an upper head. The apparatus includes a die holding member having recessed grooves of the shape of the letter Omega ( omega) turned up side down, and semi-cylindrical members suitably shaped to fit into the recessed grooves. The semi-cylindrical member is urged to the inner surface of the recessed groove by a bolt threaded into the bottom of the lower die, but with the pressure limited by the collar inserted between the bolt head and the lower die. With this limited pressure, the lower die is preliminarily set, yet it is still movable, for example, by a hammering action. After further fine adjustment, the lower die is solidly fixed to the holding member, for which purpose, a means is provided to forcibly deform the semi-cylindrical member within the confinement of the recessed groove, preventing further movement of the semi-cylindrical member and of the lower die relative to the die holding member.
