    Abstract: A peer highlight generation apparatus comprises receiving circuitry configured to receive peer profile data associated with a user, wherein the peer profile data identifies one or more peer gaming profiles that are respectively associated with one or more peers, wherein each peer has participated with the user in one or more video game sessions; first generating circuitry configured to generate one or more candidate highlights of a given peer, wherein each candidate highlight comprises image data of one of the one or more video game sessions in which the user and the given peer participated together, wherein at least a part of each candidate highlight comprises image data of an in-game avatar of the given peer; selecting circuitry configured to select a highlight from among the one or more generated candidate highlights; and rendering circuitry configured to render, for display, a list of one or more of the peer gaming profiles, wherein the list comprises the peer gaming profile of the given peer, wherein the rendering circuitry is configured to render the list in dependence upon at least part of the received peer profile data; wherein the rendering circuitry is configured to render, for display, the selected highlight as part of an entry of the list that comprises the peer gaming profile of the given peer.

    Abstract: Apparatus comprises a camera configured to capture images of a user in a scene;a depth detector configured to capture depth representations of the scene, the depth detector comprising an emitter configured to emit a non-visible signal; a mirror arranged to reflect at least some of the non-visible signal emitted by the emitter to one or more features within the scene that would otherwise be occluded by the user and to reflect light from the one or more features to the camera; a pose detector configured to detect a position and orientation of the mirror relative to at least one of the camera and depth detector; and a scene generator configured to generate a three-dimensional representation of the scene in dependence on the images captured by the camera and the depth representations captured by the depth detector and the pose of the mirror detected by the pose detector.

    Abstract: A method of generating an image includes receiving a video stream, the video stream having a two-dimensional video of a three-dimensional scene captured by a video camera; determining a mapping between locations in the two-dimensional video of the scene and locations in a three-dimensional representation of the scene, the mapping being determined based on a known parameter of the video camera and a known size of a feature in the three-dimensional scene; generating a three-dimensional graphical representation of the scene based on the determined mapping; determining a virtual camera angle from which the three-dimensional graphical representation of the scene is to be viewed; rendering an image corresponding to the graphical representation of the scene viewed from the determined virtual camera angle, and outputting the rendered image for display.
