Abstract: An electronic device for widening an active area of a display is provided. The electronic device includes a housing including a first plate and a second plate facing away from the first plate, a touch screen display including a first glass plate, a second glass plate, and an organic light-emitting diode (OLED) layer interposed between the first plate and the second plate, a flexible layer including a first portion connected to the first surface of the second glass plate and bent around an edge of the second glass plate toward the second plate of the housing, and a second portion extending from the first portion and interposed between the second glass plate and the second plate of the housing, a display driver integrated circuit (DDIC) mounted on a first surface of the second portion of the flexible layer, and a printed circuit board (PCB) including a portion mounted on a second surface of the second portion of the flexible layer.

The method includes receiving a video with a first plurality of frames having a first resolution; generating a plurality of warped frames from the first plurality of frames based on a first type of motion compensation; generating a second plurality of frames having a second resolution, wherein the second resolution is of higher resolution than the first resolution, wherein each of the second plurality of frames having the second resolution is derived from a subset of the plurality of warped frames using a convolutional network; and generating a third plurality of frames having the second resolution based on a second type of motion compensation, wherein each of the third plurality of frames having the second resolution is derived from a fusing a subset of the second plurality of frames.

Abstract: Apparatuses and methods of manufacturing same, systems, and methods for object detection using a region-based deep learning model are described. In one aspect, a method is provided, in which a region proposal network (RPN) is used to identify regions of interest (RoI) in an image by assigning a confidence levels, the assigned confidence levels of the RoIs are used to boost the background score assigned by the downstream classifier to each RoI, and the background scores are used in a softmax function to calculate the final class probabilities for each object class.

Abstract: Apparatuses and methods of manufacturing same, systems, and methods for blind detection of a numerology of a received signal are described. In one aspect, a method is provided for a user equipment (UE) to blindly detect the numerology of a received signal. The method includes correlating cyclic prefix (CP) signals in the received signal in the time domain based on a plurality of hypotheses of subcarrier spacing (SCS); measuring power variation of the received signal in the frequency domain based on the plurality of hypotheses of SCS; and combining weighted results of a correlation of the CP signals in the time domain and the measured power variation in the frequency domain to determine a numerology of the received signal for a corresponding hypothesis of SCS of the plurality of hypotheses.
