Abstract: Methods and apparatuses are provided for transmitting data. An index of a first resource block is obtained from a scheduling grant. A user equipment determines a value related to hopping based on a sequence generated by cell specific information. The user equipment determines a value related to mirroring based on the sequence generated by the cell specific information. The user equipment determines a second resource block for uplink transmission by the index of the first resource block, the value related to hopping, and the value related to mirroring.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for transmitting Time Division Duplexing (TDD) configuration information by an evolved Node B (eNB) in a TDD wireless communication system are provided. The method includes determining a changed TDD configuration indicating a transmission direction of a plurality of sub-frames constituting a frame; generating a system information element including dynamic TDD configuration information indicating the changed TDD configuration; transmitting a system information block including the dynamic TDD configuration information; and sending a Media Access Control (MAC) message including information indicating whether a change in TDD configuration is activated.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus for using a plurality of cells by an evolved NodeB (eNB) in a communication system are provided. A first eNB, which manages a first cell and is providing a communication service to a User Equipment (UE) located in the first cell, determines to provide the communication service to the UE together with a second cell of a second eNB, which neighbors the UE. A cell addition request message, making a request for aggregation of the first cell and the second cell, is transmitted to the second eNB to provide the communication service. When a cell addition response message, accepting the request for aggregation of the first cell and the second cell, is received from the second eNB, a cell activation request message, making a request for activation of the second cell, is transmitted to the second eNB.
