Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure relate to power reduction measures that can be employed by wireless user equipment (UE) participating in an extended reality (XR) application. A wireless UE, while operating in a first power state, may receive, from an XR service provider, a plurality of packets corresponding to a video frame. The UE may reassemble and decode the received packets to reproduce the video frame. Once the UE determines it has received information sufficient to reproduce the video frame, the UE may enter a second power state, different from the first power state, for a predetermined amount of time. Other aspects, embodiments, and features are also claimed and described.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some examples, a reduced capability user equipment (UE) may receive signaling indicating a set of repetition levels for receiving control information from a base station and a blind detection threshold for decoding the control information. Upon receiving the signaling, the reduced capability UE may monitor a control channel candidate for the control information based on the set of repetition levels. Once the reduced capability UE detects the control information from the monitoring, the reduced capability UE may perform at least one blind detection on the control channel candidate based on the set of repetition levels and the blind detection threshold and receive the control information from the base station.

A user equipment (UE) may identify an indication of a wakeup signal (WUS) configuration for the first UE, the WUS configuration indicating a WUS monitoring occasion for sidelink wakeup signaling between the first UE and a second UE. The UE may determine a first set of resources for transmission of a WUS by the first UE within the WUS monitoring occasion based on the WUS configuration, the first set of resources disjoint in time with a second set of resources for the second UE within the WUS monitoring occasion. The UE may transmit the WUS to the second UE using the first set of resources within the WUS monitoring occasion based on an identification of traffic for the second UE at the first UE.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) flexibly prioritize between communication resources and measurement gaps to resolve collisions between communication resources and measurement gaps. For collisions between a dynamically scheduled communication resources and a measurement gap, a UE may communicate using the scheduled communication resource based on at least one of a time between reception of the downlink control message and a start of the measurement gap satisfying a first threshold duration or a second period of time between reception of the downlink control message and a start of the communication resource satisfying a second threshold duration. For collisions between periodic communication resources and periodic measurement gaps, a UE may either perform a measurement during the measurement gap or communicate using the communication resource based on a priority scheme associated with the measurement gap and the periodically scheduled communication resource.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some systems, a user equipment (UE) may communicate with a base station using an operating bandwidth part (BWP) that includes a first set of frequency resources. The UE may receive a group-common downlink control information (GC-DCI) message from the base station that includes a resource format indicator (RFI) for the UE (e.g., among multiple RFIs for a set of UEs in the GC-DCI) indicating a second set of frequency resources. The UE may modify the operating BWP based on the second set of frequency resources and communicate with the base station using the modified operating BWP. In some examples, the UE may switch the operating BWP to the second set of frequency resources or may reduce the operating BWP to a set of overlapping frequency resources between the first and second sets of frequency resources.

Abstract: Apparatus, methods, and computer-readable media for facilitating sidelink resource pool activation and deactivation for sidelink communication are disclosed herein. An example method for wireless communication at a first sidelink device includes identifying a configuration of a bandwidth part (BWP) for sidelink communication. Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may support various extended reality (XR) applications. In some examples of XR applications, features from the real and virtual environments may be overlaid and displayed to a user for consumption via the UE. To avoid visual conflicts, such as misaligning objects from the real and virtual environments, and other visual conflicts, the UE may generate and send pose information to a network (e.g., a server hosting the XR application). The UE may be configured to manage transmission of pose information to the network, which may result in reduced power consumption. For example, the UE may determine a downlink burst occasion for the XR application, generate pose information associated with the UE and the XR application, and transmit the pose information only during the downlink burst occasion.
