    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described related to a duty cycle configuration for power saving. A user equipment (UE) may receive control signaling indicating a duty cycle for cycling between a first power state associated with a first configuration and a second power state associated with a second configuration. In some examples, the first and second configurations may indicate a bandwidth part (BWP) configuration, restricted reception or transmission of one or more channels within the BWP configuration, or both for the UE. The UE may communicate first data traffic in accordance with the first configuration while operating in the first power state. The UE may transition from the first power state to the second power state in accordance with the duty cycle. The UE may communicate second data traffic in accordance with the second configuration while operating in the second power state.

    Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer-readable media, for monitoring a service availability associated with a service of a wireless communication network. A service availability status may indicate availability of the service. A user equipment (UE) may measure signal quality or signal strength associated with frequencies that are related to services of interest to the UE. The UE may manage a service relationship for the service associated with the service availability status. For example, the UE may transmit a radio resource control (RRC) message, an non-access stratum (NAS) message, or other message to indicate the service availability status to the wireless communication network. Alternatively, or additionally, the UE may provide an indication of the service availability status to an application processor or upper layer of the UE when the service availability status changes.

    Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer-readable media, for a service-based cell reselection by a user equipment (UE) in a wireless communication system. The UE may have a service relationship with a particular service. A wireless communication system may provide different types of services via different radio frequencies. The UE may determine which cells to measure for cell reselection to include those that correspond to a service of interest to the UE. In addition to power savings, the UE may experience faster cell reselection for a service. The techniques of this disclosure also may enable a priority-based cell reselection so that the UE can camp on a cell that supports a higher priority service compared to other services supported by the UE.

A wireless device may receive a downlink (DL) reception indication during an active duration of a discontinuous reception (DRX) configuration. The DL reception indication may indicate the presence of a reception opportunity following an inactivity interval, as well as the length of the inactivity interval. The wireless device may refrain from DL monitoring during the inactivity interval. In some cases, the wireless device may enter a sleep mode during the inactivity interval and wake up to receive a subsequent transmission during the reception opportunity. In some examples, the wireless device may use the inactivity interval to communicate using a different radio access technology (RAT).

    Abstract: Techniques are described for wireless communication. A method for wireless communication at a user equipment (UE) includes transmitting a random access preamble; receiving a random access response message that includes a plurality of uplink grants associated with the random access preamble, in which each uplink grant in the plurality of uplink grants is associated with a different transmission resource; selecting an uplink grant from the plurality of uplink grants; and transmitting using the selected uplink grant. A method of wireless communication at a network access device includes receiving a random access preamble; and transmitting a random access response message that includes a plurality of uplink grants associated with the random access preamble, in which each uplink grant in the plurality of uplink grants is associated with a different transmission resource.
