Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for a user equipment (UE) to provide listen before talk (LBT) assistance to a transmitting device. The UE may receive a pre-grant (PG) indicating a plurality of beams. The UE may performing a LBT procedure on each beam of the indicated plurality of beams. The UE may transmit an acknowledgment to the pre-grant (APG) as a waveform that indicates that the LBT procedure for one or more of the indicated plurality of beams was successful. The waveform may be a sounding reference signal (SRS) with a sequence that indicates that the LBT procedure was successful.

Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods, and devices for wireless communication that support relaxed sensing for new radio (NR) sidelink over millimeter wave (mmW) operating frequencies. In a first aspect, a method by a user equipment (UE) of wireless communication includes identifying a resource selection trigger that indicates selection of one or more sidelink slots from a resource selection window. The UE may obtain long-term interference sensing statistics observed by the UE prior to the resource selection trigger. The UE can reduce a default sensing window length in accordance with the long-term interference sensing statistics and transmit a sidelink transmission in the selected sidelink slots. Other aspects and features are also claimed and described.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described that provide for reduced timing between certain downlink communications and responsive uplink communications relative to certain legacy systems (e.g., legacy LTE systems). A user equipment (UE) or base station may be capable of operating using two or more timing configurations that each include an associated time period between receipt of a downlink communication (e.g., a grant of uplink resources or shared channel data) and a responsive uplink communication (e.g., an uplink transmission using the granted uplink resources or feedback of successful reception of the shared channel data). In cases where a UE or base station are capable of two or more timing configurations, a timing configuration for a transmission may be determined and the responsive uplink communication transmitted according to the determined timing configuration.
