    Abstract: Systems, methods, apparatuses, and computer program products for cyclic prefix (CP) extension and listen before talk (LBT) type for uplink transmissions. Specifically, certain embodiments may provide for applying a CP and/or an LBT when downlink control information (DCI) schedules two discontinuous uplink transmissions. For example, certain embodiments may provide for determining the LBT type and CP extension for jointly scheduled aperiodic sounding reference signal and physical uplink shared channel/physical uplink control channel transmissions. When the two or more transmissions are non-consecutive, the first one of the transmissions may apply the CP extension and the LBT type indicated by the scheduling DCI. For the second transmission, the CP extension may depend on the CP extension indicated in the DCI.

    Abstract: Various communication systems may benefit from a reduction in latency. For example, communication systems may benefit from an improved transmission of an uplink reference signal in an uplink channel. A method, in certain embodiments, includes determining by a user equipment a candidate location of a transmission of an uplink reference signal in a channel. The method also includes determining by the user equipment a triggering window associated with the candidate location of the transmission of the uplink reference signal in the channel. In addition, the method includes receiving an uplink grant for a data transmission from a base station. Further, the method includes transmitting the uplink reference signal based on the uplink grant being at least partially within the triggering window.

    Abstract: Various communication systems may benefit from an improved resource block group allocation in a cell. A method may include determining at a network entity a common frequency resource allocation grid in a cell. The method may also include configuring at the network entity a frequency location of a bandwidth part of a user equipment within the cell. The frequency location of the bandwidth part may be offset from a reference point of the common frequency resource allocation grid. In addition, the method may include determining a size of one or more of a plurality of resource block groups within the bandwidth part of the user equipment based on the frequency location of the bandwidth part and the reference point. In example embodiments, a terminal device receives, in a Layer 1 (L1) signaling message, a resource indication to schedule resources on a plurality of bandwidth parts in a plurality of serving cells. The terminal device determines a reference size of a reference bandwidth part. The terminal device determines a reference resource based on the received resource indication and the reference size of the reference bandwidth part. The terminal device further determines alignment between the reference bandwidth part and a scheduled bandwidth part of the plurality of bandwidth parts. The terminal device determines, based on the reference resource and the alignment, a scheduled resource on the scheduled bandwidth part.
