    Abstract: A method of dynamically adapt to a minimum applicable scheduling offset value for a UE operated with bandwidth part (BWP) and cross-slot scheduling in a mobile communication network is proposed. At higher layer (L2 RRC layer), the UE receives RRC configuration for a set of minimum applicable scheduling offset values (K0/K2) for downlink/uplink cross-slot scheduling. At lower layer (L1 physical layer), the UE dynamically determines an active minimum K0/K2 value for an active DL BWP or UL BWP based on 1) a one-bit DCI indicator over PDCCH; or based on 2) an active BWP change due to timeout.

    Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure provide an electronic device including processing circuitry and a method for beam management (BM) with power saving. The processing circuitry can receive a reference signal from a network via a serving beam pair used for downlink (DL) transmission between the network and an electronic device. The serving beam pair can include a serving transmission (Tx) beam transmitted from the network and a serving reception (Rx) beam received by the electronic device. The processing circuitry can determine a signal quality of the reference signal. When the signal quality is determined to satisfy a power saving condition, the processing circuitry can reduce beam measurements in the BM for beam pairs including Tx beams transmitted from the network and respective Rx beams received by the electronic device. The beam pairs can include the serving beam pair and one or more candidate beam pairs.

    Abstract: A UE receives one or more modulation symbols on one or more resource elements prior to an ON duration in a particular DRX cycle in RRC connected mode. The one or more resource elements are allocated to carry a wake-up signal. The UE performs a blind detection of the wake-up signal on the one or more modulation symbols in accordance with a DCI format and a group identifier identifying a group of UEs including the UE. The wake-up signal includes an indication that indicates whether one or more UEs of the group of UEs should monitor a down link control channel in the ON duration. The UE determines whether to operate in a normal state and monitor a down link control channel in the ON duration based on the wake-up signal when the wake-up signal is detected.

    Abstract: A UE receives a configuration specifying that a particular DCI format include a field indicating adaptation of cross-slot scheduling or same-slot scheduling. The UE determines whether a first down link control channel received in a first downlink slot in an active time of a discontinuous reception (DRX) cycle is in the particular DCI format. The UE determines whether the field of the first down link control channel indicates adaptation of cross-slot scheduling when the first down link control channel is in the particular DCI format. The UE enters into a power saving state during a second downlink slot in the active time of the DRX cycle when the field indicates adaptation of cross-slot scheduling and no data are scheduled to be transmitted to the UE during the second downlink slot. The second downlink slot is the first downlink slot or a slot subsequent to the first downlink slot.

    Abstract: In one aspect, a User Equipment (UE) performs Radio Resource Management (RRM) measurements on downlink signals with a first cycle period equal to the UE's Discontinuous Reception (DRX) cycle period. The RRM measurements cycle period is lengthened when UE detects that a signal quality measurement of the primary cell is greater than the sum of a positive offset and a signal quality measurement of a neighboring cell having the best signal quality among all of UE's neighboring cells. In another aspect, a UE de-multiplexes a paging indication which precedes a Synchronization Signal Block (SSB) in time and is generated using the same sequence generation formula as that for generating a Secondary Synchronization Signal (SSS) in the SSB. From the de-multiplexed paging indication, the UE detects that it is paged for message reception and wakes up to receive the message in a next data reception period of the UE's DRX cycle.

    Abstract: A method to improve the design of new radio physical downlink control channel (NR-PDCCH) transmission and to reduce the false alarm rate of NR-PDCCH blind decoding is proposed. The downlink control information (DCI) bits are carried by NR-PDCCH to be transmitted to UEs after CRC attachment, channel encoding, interleaving, and modulation. The proposed NR-PDCCH design is separated into two parts. In a first part, a UE-ID or RNTI is used to derive a CRC mask or a scrambling sequence for CRC attachment of the DCI bits. In a second part, a UE-specific ID is used to derive an interleaver before or after channel encoding of the DCI bits. If the interleaver is placed before channel encoding, it takes the form of a bit interleaver. If the interleaver is placed after channel encoding, it takes the form of a bit interleaver or a channel interleaver.
