    Abstract: A method and apparatus for small data transmission without a path switch procedure in a wireless communication system is provided. A new gNB, which is a radio access network (RAN) node to which a wireless device attempts a connection resume procedure while in an inactive state, receives an anchor kept indication and/or a small data indication from a last serving gNB. The anchor kept indication indicates that the last serving gNB keeps a user equipment (UE) context and/or a UE-associated NG connection with the core network. The small data indication indicates not relocating a UE context from the last serving gNB to the new gNB.

    Abstract: Provided are a method for early data transmission. According to an embodiment of the present disclosure, the method includes transmitting a radio resource control (RRC) connection resume request message to a control plane (CP) of central unit (CU) of the network node, receiving information informing that downlink (DL) data exists from the CP, receiving DL data from a user plane (UP) of the CU, transmitting the DL data to a wireless device in response to the information, upon receiving the DL data, and releasing transmission resources after transmitting the DL data.

    Abstract: A method and apparatus for preventing loss of uplink data in wireless communication system is provided. A central unit (CU) of an integrated access and backhaul (IAB)-donor receives, from a wireless device, uplink data through a source IAB-node. The CU of the IAB-donor receives, from the source IAB-node, a message which informs that uplink packets among the uplink data are remained on the source IAB-node, wherein the message is related to handover procedures of the wireless device from the source IAB-node to a target IAB-node. The CU of the IAB-donor proceeds the handover procedures, after receiving the uplink packets.

    Abstract: One disclosure of the present specification provides a method for supporting redundant protocol data unit (PDU) sessions. The method may be performed by a unified data management (UDM) node and comprise: receiving, from a first session management function (SMF) node, a first message including a first redundancy sequence number (RSN) which is allocated by the first SMF node for managing a first PDU session and an identifier of the first PDU session; transmitting, to a second SMF node for managing a second PDU session, a second message including the first RSN and a PDU session pair ID, which is identical to the identifier of the first PDU session; and receiving, from the second SMF node, a third message including a second RSN which is allocated by the second SMF node and an identifier of the second PDU session. The second PDU session may be duplication of the first PDU session.
