Abstract:
Disclosed are an active scanning method and an active scanning device. The active scanning method in a wireless LAN comprises the steps of: a second station (STA) receiving a first probe request frame which has been broadcast by a first STA; and the second STA broadcasting a second probe request frame. The second probe request frame may include a probe request frame detection field, and the probe request frame detection field may indicate that the second STA has received the first probe request frame. Accordingly, a probe response frame is broadcast to a plurality of STAs, thus simplifying a scanning procedure.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a wireless communication system and, more specifically, to a method and an apparatus for determining an operating channel. The method for determining the operating channel of a station (STA) in a TV whitespace (TVWS) wireless LAN system, according to one embodiment of the present invention, comprises the steps of: receiving information on an index which indicates an operating class including channel start frequency, channel spacing, and channel set parameters; and determining a main frequency of the operating channel on the basis of the parameters indicated by the index of the operating class. The main frequency of the operating channel can be determined on the basis of a correction value which is set differently according to the configuration of a basic channel unit of the operating channel.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a wireless communication system, and more particularly, to a method and apparatus for updating system information in a wireless LAN system. A method for a station (STA) to update system information in a wireless communication system according to one embodiment of the present invention comprises the steps of: if the value of a change sequence field received by the STA from an access point (AP) is different from the value of the change sequence field stored in the STA, transmitting, to the AP, a probe request frame including the change sequence field set to the value of the change sequence field stored in the STA; and a step of receiving, from the AP, a probe response frame responding to the probe request frame including the change sequence field.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method and apparatus for associating a station (STA) with an access point (AP). The method for associating a first AP with an STA in a wireless LAN includes the steps of: a first AP receiving an association request frame from the STA; the first AP requesting authentication information on the STA from a second AP with which the STA was previously associated; the first AP receiving authentication information on the STA from the second AP, wherein the first and second AP's are linked by a distribution system, the association request frame includes identification information on the second AP, and the authentication information on the STA can include at least one of a paired main key (PMK) and a recertification main session key (rMSK). Accordingly, fast association between the STA and the AP can be achieved by a simplified authentication procedure without repeating a full authentication procedure.
Abstract:
One embodiment of the present invention relates to a method for transmitting a signal by a terminal in a wireless communication system which comprises a step wherein, during a predetermined time period in one portion of the frequency bandwidths from among the frequency bandwidths of channels used by said terminal, a carrier wave sensing signal of another terminal is transmitted in which information on the frequency bandwidths of the channel is included.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a wireless communication system, and more specifically, to a method and apparatus for accessing channels in a wireless LAN system. The method for accessing channels in a station (STA) of the wireless communication system according to one embodiment of the present invention comprises the steps of transmitting a first frame of a channel access request to an access point (AP); and receiving, from the AP, a second frame related to whether access to the channel is allowed in response to the first frame, wherein the second frame can include a value for a channel access start offset with respect to the STA.
Abstract:
A method for accessing an initial channel by a STA can comprise the steps of: the STA receiving, via a first band from a multiband AP, a scanning frame comprising a neighboring AP information element, wherein the neighboring AP information element comprises information for a second band which is an operating band for the neighboring AP; the STA determining whether accessing the neighboring AP is possible on the basis of information comprised in the neighboring AP information element regarding an access network type of the neighboring AP operating in the second band; if access to the neighboring AP is possible, the STA transmitting an association request frame to the neighboring AP via the second band, wherein the access network type can comprise information regarding an access permission type of a neighboring AP.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for receiving a downlink signal from an access point (AP) by a station (STA) in a wireless communication system, comprising the steps of: transmitting an uplink frame; and receiving a response frame as a response to the uplink frame. A terminal performs a re-association with the AP when it is recognized, via the response frame, that the AP has been restarted.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a wireless communication system. Specifically, the present invention relates to a method for setting a link for Wi-Fi Direct P2P communication and a device for the same, the method comprising the steps of: discovering, by a STA, whether a joinable WFD communication group exists; and setting, by the STA which discovered a new WFD target, a link for joining into a joinable WFD group if the joinable WFD group exists.
Abstract:
According to one embodiment of the present invention, a method for performing a channel access by a station (STA) in a wireless communication system comprises the steps of: transmitting a first frame for a channel access request to an access point (AP); and receiving a second frame, which is a response to the channel access request, from the AP, wherein the first frame includes information indicating whether or not uplink data of the STA is present.
