Abstract: A method relating to quasi co-location functionality for wireless communication includes: a radio access network device sending signaling to a terminal device, where the signaling includes a quasi co-location type and at least one set of configuration parameters associated with the quasi co-location type, and the terminal device applying one set of configuration parameters associated with the first quasi co-location type, to learn of at least two quasi co-located antenna ports effective when at least one channel large-scale characteristic parameter associated with the first quasi co-location type is applied.

Abstract: A communication method comprises that a user equipment receives quantity information, sent by a transmission reception point TRP, of control information to be sent to the user equipment. N pieces of control information are to be sent to the user equipment, and N is an integer greater than or equal to 1. The user equipment determines, based on the quantity information, that the N pieces of control information need to be detected; and the user equipment detects the N pieces of control information. In an embodiment, processing complexity of the TRP and processing complexity of the user equipment can be reduced in a control information obtaining process.

Abstract: This application provides a communication method, a network device, a terminal device, and a system. The communication method includes: determining, by a network device, a plurality of pieces of quasi co-location information, where the plurality of pieces of quasi co-location information correspond to a plurality of antenna port sets of a first control resource set, and each piece of quasi co-location information in the plurality of pieces of quasi co-location information is used to indicate a quasi co-location characteristic of an antenna port set corresponding to each piece of quasi co-location information; and sending, by the network device, the plurality of pieces of quasi co-location information to a terminal device. In embodiments of this application, the plurality of pieces of quasi co-location information are used to indicate the quasi co-location characteristics of the antenna ports to the terminal device, to improve communication efficiency.

This implicit indication method can effectively reduce air interface signaling overheads and improve air interface efficiency.
