    Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to the field of communications technologies, and provide an RRC connection management method and apparatus, and a device. The method includes: sending, by UE when in an RRC idle mode, an uplink data request to an access network node by using a shared data sending resource, where the uplink data request includes uplink data and request information that is used for requesting to enter an RRC connected mode; and receiving, by the UE, an access network dedicated identifier of the UE from the access network node, where the access network dedicated identifier of the UE is determined by the access network node according to the request information, and the UE is in the RRC connected mode within a validity period of the access network dedicated identifier of the UE.

    Abstract: A communication method and an apparatus are provided, to resolve a problem of low data transmission efficiency. The method includes: in response to receiving a paging message from a terminal device, a terminal device determines, based on a preconfiguration and/or the paging message, a first physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) resource used to transmit a paging response, and sends the paging response to the access network device on the first PUSCH resource, where the paging response carries identity authentication information of the terminal device. After the access network device or a core network successfully performs identity authentication on the terminal device, downlink data transmission can be performed. Compared with a manner in which downlink data transmission can be performed only after a radio resource control (RRC) connection is set up or resumed, this manner can improve data transmission efficiency.

    Abstract: An Ethernet header compression method and apparatus and an Ethernet header decompression method and apparatus. After receiving an Ethernet frame including a first to-be-compressed field, a compression end compresses an Ethernet header of the Ethernet frame based on a first correspondence including first compression information and a value of the first to-be-compressed field and the first compression information. Correspondingly, a decompression end decompresses an Ethernet header of a compressed Ethernet frame based on the first correspondence when receiving the compressed Ethernet frame. In the embodiments of this application, because the Ethernet header of the Ethernet frame is compressed, communication resources is saved.
