In an embodiment, the access point type communication device (110) further comprises an allocator (113) configured to allocate the plurality of random access resources to the set of client type communication devices (120a-c) on the basis of the set of random access identifiers.

Abstract: The present application provides a method for determining a CP. A STA performs channel estimation, determines a CP value according to the result of channel estimation, and sends indication information to an AP, wherein the indication information is used for indicating the CP value, so that the AP may choose a suitable CP according to the indication information. Therefore, overhead may be reduced and system throughput may be optimized.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to Hybrid Automatic Repeat Request (HARQ) in wireless communication technologies, particularly HARQ for IEEE 802.11, i.e. HARQ for Wi-Fi. One example transmitting device is configured to encapsulate a data unit in a container unit, and encode the container unit into a codeword set of one or more codewords. One example receiving device is configured to receive, from a transmitting device, at least one codeword set of one or more codewords, decode the codewords of the codeword set to obtain a container unit, and decapsulate the container unit to obtain a data unit. A bit-size of the container unit is equal to a bit-size of the codeword set in the transmitting device and the receiving device.
