Abstract: An information processing apparatus includes a processor which acquires reference imaging device information corresponding to a position, an imaging direction, and an angle of view of a reference imaging device, and on a condition that an instruction to start generating a virtual viewpoint image based on a plurality of images obtained by imaging an imaging region with a plurality of imaging devices is given, generates the virtual viewpoint image by using the reference imaging device information as a reference, acquires image quality information indicating an image quality of a first reference image obtained by imaging the imaging region with the reference imaging device, and outputs a superimposed image in which the virtual viewpoint image is superimposed on a second reference image obtained by imaging the imaging region with the reference imaging device, on a condition that the instruction is given.

Abstract: There are provided an imaging device and a method of controlling the imaging device that can shorten the blackout period of a live view image in a case where a front curtain and a rear curtain are moved to continuously take static images. In a case where continuous shooting is performed, a focal-plane shutter is shifted to a normally open state to allow a live view image to be displayed during the continuous shooting. A front curtain-electromagnet and a rear curtain-electromagnet are excited to prevent the rotational movement of a second front curtain-drive lever and a second rear curtain-drive lever in a first direction after the focal-plane shutter is shifted to the normally open state; first curtain travel preparation for causing the second front curtain-drive lever and the rear curtain-drive lever to be moved to non-charge positions from charge positions is performed to release the prevention of the travel of the front curtain in a closing direction, which is performed by the front curtain-locking lever, from a point of time later than a point of time when the first curtain travel preparation is to be started; and second curtain travel preparation for causing the front curtain to travel in the closing direction to fully close an exposure aperture portion is performed.

Abstract: The invention speeds up operation of an interchangeable lens. The interchangeable lens, which is removably mounted on a camera body, includes a communication control microcomputer, a lens driving circuit and a lens driving actuator. A body-side microcomputer and the communication control microcomputer of the interchangeable lens are connected and are capable of communicating with each other. Lines are provided in such a manner that the lens driving circuit and body-side microcomputer can communicate directly. A command from the body-side microcomputer is input to the lens driving circuit. This allows the lens driving circuit to be controlled directly and makes it possible to control the interchangeable lens at high speed.
