A measuring device for measuring flow and/or composition of a measured medium in a pipe or tube by registering an ultrasonic measurement signal includes a measurement transmitter and a connection adapter for mechanical securement of the measurement transmitter on the pipe or tube, in which the connection adapter has a longitudinal axis and the measuring device includes a measuring transducer element and at least one metal hose, wherein at least one signal transmission cable is arranged in the metal hose for signal transmission between the measurement transmitter and a sensor element, and wherein the metal hose mechanically connects the measuring transducer element with the connection adapter.

A measuring tube for a flow measuring device, wherein the measuring tube has a measuring tube axis A and a measuring tube wall. The measuring tube has a branch with a branch axis B and a wall of the branch, wherein the wall of the branch is arranged on the measuring tube wall, and the wall of the branch is connected with the measuring tube wall by a welded joint. In the transitional region between the wall of the branch and the measuring tube wall there is a specially embodied thickening of the material, which is either part of the wall of the branch or part of the measuring tube wall.

A coupling element for an ultrasonic transducer, which comprises a first recess provided for the arrangement of a piezoelectric element and comprising a terminal base surface in which an ultrasound signal generated by the piezoelectric element can be fed into the coupling element. The coupling element comprising inside the first recess one or a plurality of stops, each of which comprises at least one stop surface which extends along a plane, the plane extending parallel to the base surface of the first recess, and there being defined between this plane and the base surface a space for accommodating material for an acoustic adaptation layer. The invention further concerns an ultrasonic transducer and an ultrasonic flow meter.

An ultrasonic transducer, comprising a coupling element which has a first recess, the first recess being provided for the arrangement of a piezoelectric element which feeds an ultrasound signal into the coupling element, and there being disposed between the piezoelectric element and the coupling element an intermediate layer which comprises a metal disc, the metal disc comprising retaining elements each with a first segment lying on the same plane as the metal disc and projecting radially from the perimeter of the metal disc and each having a second segment which adjoins the first segment, projects from the plane of the metal plate and is connected to the first segment.

An ultrasonic transducer for an ultrasonic flow measuring device, comprising an electromechanical transducer element, which is prestressed against an ultrasonic window of the ultrasonic transducer by a suitable structure, wherein a first surface of the electromechanical transducer element faces the ultrasonic window, and wherein a second surface of the electromechanical transducer element lying opposite the first surface is divided into a plurality of segments, which are galvanically connected with the suitable structure for prestressing.
