    Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a grayscale control structure, including a first substrate, a light extraction layer, an electrode layer, a liquid crystal layer, a filter layer and a second substrate which are sequentially stacked. The electrode layer is provided with a plurality of strip-shaped electrodes arranged in parallel to form lens units in the liquid crystal layer. The filter layer includes light exit strips and a black matrix arranged in parallel, and the light exit strips are disposed opposite to the lens units. Light extraction gratings are disposed in the light extraction layer, the light extraction gratings are disposed opposite to the light exit strips, and a projection of individual one of the light exit strips on the light extraction layer covers a corresponding one of the light extraction gratings.

    Abstract: A curved liquid crystal display panel and a curved liquid crystal display device are disclosed. The curved liquid crystal display panel comprises: two substrates curved towards a same direction with liquid crystals filled therebetween to form a curved liquid crystal layer; and a transparent layer covering an outer surface of a glass of at least one of the substrates, a stress-optical coefficient of the glass of the substrate and a stress-optical coefficient of the transparent layer at a same side of the liquid crystal layer have opposite signs, wherein the outer surface of the glass of the substrate is a surface of the glass of the substrate away from the liquid crystals. The curved liquid crystal display device comprises the curved liquid crystal display panel. The optical rotation effects of the glass of the substrate and the transparent layer located at the same side of the liquid crystal layer are opposite from each other, optical delay thereof are counteracted by each other. Display effect of the curved liquid crystal display panel and the curved liquid crystal display device according to embodiments of the invention is improved largely.

    Abstract: A curved surface LCD panel and a display device are disclosed. The curved surface LCD panel includes an array substrate and an opposite substrate parallel with each other and curved in a same direction, wherein edge zones of the array substrate and the opposite substrate having plural optical retardation zones, each of the optical retardation zones on the array substrate being corresponding to one of the optical retardation zones on the opposite substrate, and two corresponding optical retardation zones constituting a zone group; a LC layer located between the array substrate and the opposite substrate; and an optical compensation film attached at each of the optical retardation zones in at least one zone group; wherein the optical compensation film being perpendicular to an optical axis of the optical retardation zone attached with the optical compensation film and having an equal optical retardation with the optical retardation zone.

    Abstract: Disclosed is a display device, comprising: two liquid crystal cells connected together and facing in opposite directions, each liquid crystal cell includes a substrate, a pixel electrode, a common electrode, and a cholesteric liquid crystal layer filled between the pixel electrode and the common electrode, the polarization properties of the filled cholesteric liquid crystals are opposite to each other. In the present invention, the two cholesteric liquid crystal cells are connected together, such that transparent display as well as double-side display can be achieved by using the reflective, polarizing and full stable performance of the cholesteric liquid crystals as well as by controlling voltage to switch two cholesteric liquid crystal cells between a plane orientation and a vertical orientation. In addition, with this technology, no polarizer is used and light absorption is removed, thus, the transmission rate of the display device is improved. Further, with this technology, no backlight is required, and the display is achieved by using the reflection-transmission of the cholesteric liquid crystals, therefore, energy is saved. Moreover, with this technology, no liquid-crystal-molecule alignment film is required and no rubbing process is required, therefore, the process is simplified.
