Abstract: One or more computing devices, systems, and/or methods for generating a recommendation for increasing loading time performance of a target webpage are provided. For example, a third party window, specifying a target webpage as a source, is inserted into a webpage. The webpage is provided to a browser that displays the webpage and loads the target webpage into the third party window. Resource timing data, associated with loading the target webpage into the third party window, is retrieved. Loading time performance of the target webpage is measured based upon the resource timing data. A recommendation for increasing loading time performance of the target webpage is generated. In an example, an action such as a resource allocation change for hosting the target webpage, compression of an image of the target webpage, a connection reduction of files connected to by the target webpage, etc. is performed based upon the recommendation.

Abstract: The present teaching relates to adjustable one-time password (OTP) setup, sign-in, and verification. In one example, a first length of a signature is determined. The signature has been used previously by a first user to initially sign in a second device. A second length that is different from the first length is determined. A signing key is generated based at least partially on the second length. A new signature having the second length is generated based on the signing key. The new signature is provided to a second user so that the second user can input at least a portion of the new signature into the second device for a subsequent sign in. The verification key is generated based at least partially on the new signature. The new signature input by the second user into the second device is transmitted from the second device to the third device.

Abstract: Methods and devices for assessing the quality of user-generated content are described. Abstract: Multi-thread systems and methods are described for concurrently handling requests to commit data updates to a database by a plurality of data transactions. The database preferably supports multi-versioning and the data transactions are preferably isolated by snapshot isolation. In one embodiment, concurrent and lock-free handling of requests to commit data updates includes performing two types of concurrent data conflict detection. A transaction proceeds to commit only if it passes both types of conflict detection. The first type of conflict detection is based on a hash map between data keys and their commit timestamps whereas the second type of conflict detection is based on a log that keeps track of the status of transactions whose requests to commit are actively being processed. In another embodiment, concurrent conflict detection for data items in concurrent transactions is broken down into buckets and locks are used for accessing each bucket. These systems and methods maintain transactional integrity to database while improving throughput by maximizing concurrency of data commits in a multi-thread environment.

A first distribution indicative of an interest distribution of the user in a plurality of topics is obtained. For each item, a second distribution indicative of a classification distribution of the item with respect to the plurality of topics is obtained. A score is estimated based on the first distribution and the second distribution, wherein the score indicates likelihood that the user is interested in the item.
