摘要: Described herein are systems and methods for improving defect detection in an automated production process. The system comprises a memory that stores executable components and a processor, operatively coupled to the memory, that executes the executable components. The executable components comprise an automation defect component and a machine learning component. The automation defect component retrieves parametric data associated with the production process. The automation defect component provides the parametric data to a machine learning algorithm. The machine learning component generates common attributes between the defective items. The machine learning component identifies a set of common attributes shared between the defective items and a non-defective item. The machine learning component modifies the set of the common attributes shared between the defective items and the non-defective item. The machine learning component generates defect indicators based on the common attributes. The automation defect component monitors subsequent parametric data to recognize the defect indicators.

摘要: An industrial integrated development environment (IDE) allows project topologies to be defined using an industrial domain-specific language (DSL) script. DSL scripting language can be used to define a control system topology in terms of the devices that make up the control system as well as the data connections between those devices. The IDE system can translate resulting topology to a project tree that serves as the basis for a control system project.

摘要: Systems, methods, and software to facilitate simulating machines used in industrial automation are disclosed herein. In at least one implementation, an API is utilized to establish at least a communication link between a simulation model created in a simulation application and an industrial controller system outside of the simulation model, wherein the simulation model comprises definitions for a virtual representation of at least a portion of a machine used in an industrial automation environment. Data is then exchanged between the industrial controller system and the simulation model over the communication link.

摘要: A motor drive or bus supply power conversion system includes a rectifier with at least one rectifier switch module for rectifying AC input power. A DC bus is connected to the rectifier and supplies DC output power. An optional inverter is connected to the DC bus and includes at least one inverter switch module for inverting the DC bus voltage to an AC output power. The at least one rectifier switch module and the at least one inverter switch module each include a base plate and a housing connected to the base plate. The housing defines an interior space that contains at least one semiconductor switch. Anti-corrosion features are provided including a conformal coating on printed circuit board assemblies, removable connector covers, dielectric grease coated connections, nano-coated fiber optic transceivers, and an exterior protective film wrap.

摘要: An industrial integrated development environment (IDE) supports collaborative tools that allow multiple designers and programmers to remotely submit design input to the same automation system project in parallel while maintaining project consistency. The industrial IDE also permits localized development of system projects, and provides an infrastructure for intelligently brokering between conflicting edits submitted to common portions of the system project. Project edits submitted to the IDE system, both applied and unapplied, are stored as edit records, allowing edits to be selectively undone or applied either manually or as part of a rollback to a milestone version.

摘要: An industrial integrated development environment (IDE) supports collaborative editing of translation tables used to facilitate rendering of the system project text in different defined languages. Rather than merging edits by comparing text representations of the edited translation tables on a line-by-line basis, the system expresses the edited and base versions of the translation tables as information models that represent the translation table versions as hierarchical organizations of nodes representing content of the tables, and compares corresponding nodes of the information models to obtain differential statuses for the nodes. The various versions of the nodes are then merged into a single consistent model based on the differential statuses of the nodes.

摘要: A system for distributed multi-axis motion control includes a controller having a memory configured to store a control program and a processor configured to execute the control program. A desired motion trajectory is determined for a multi-axis system having multiple axes, and an axis command is generated for each of the axes as a function of the desired motion trajectory. The system also includes multiple motors and multiple motor drives. Each of the motors corresponds to one axis for the multi-axis system, and each of the motor drives controls at least one of the motors responsive to receiving the axis command for the corresponding motor. Each of the motor drives also determines a motion state for a link driven by the motor as a function of the axis command and transmits at least a portion of the motion state to another motor drive controlling another axis.

摘要: A method for managing device lifecycles within an industrial automation environment includes receiving a request for lifecycle management data including a scanning configuration, producing configuration data obtained by scanning industrial devices specified by the scanning configuration, receiving lifecycle management data including a lifecycle phase for the industrial devices, generating a graphical representation of the lifecycle phase of the industrial devices, determining an identity of a replacement device for a first industrial device of the industrial devices having a predetermined lifecycle phase, generating a graphical representation of replacement information including the identity of the replacement device, and managing migration to the replacement device by initiating replacement of the first industrial device with the replacement device.
