Prior to crimping, a temporary spacer is placed in the channel in a portion of the tube adjacent to the portion of the tube that will be crimped.

摘要： An overcast system to block an intersection between two or more mine passageways so as to prevent the mixture of intake air with return air. The overcast system includes a first sidewall formed of one or more prefabricated panels, a second sidewall formed of one or more prefabricated panels, and a top member formed of one or more prefabricated panels, such that the top side spans the width between the first sidewall and the second sidewall. A fire-resistant coating is applied to at least a portion of the first sidewall, the second sidewall, or the top member to provide an air-tight, fire-resistant structure. Each of the one or more prefabricated panels is formed from a composite material having one or more structural studs embedded at least partially therein.

摘要： The present invention includes a rock bolt having a longitudinally expandable tube. The tube includes a longitudinally extending depression that defines a temporary enclosed longitudinal passageway. The rock bolt further includes a shielded distal end to prevent debris from entering the temporary enclosed longitudinal passageway. The distal end is shielded using a cover which may be a plug or a cap and may provide a rounded tip for the rock bolt. The plug may be spherical. The cap may be attached such that its proximal end abuts the distal end of the rock bolt, is inserted into the distal end of the rock bolt, or extends beyond the distal end and along the sidewall of the rock bolt. The present invention also includes a method of making such a rock bolt and a method of using such a rock bolt.

摘要： A truss shoe for a roof support system includes a bolt receiving section, an intermediate section, and a housing having a threaded rod engaging section. The threaded rod engaging section has a passageway having a first open end spaced from, and in facing relationship to, the bolt receiving section and an opposite second end. The passageway has a threaded portion extending from the first end of the passageway toward the second end. A stop member is positioned spaced from the first open end of the passageway. With this arrangement, the end of the threaded rod passes through the space between the first open end of the passageway and the stop member into engagement with the stop member, whereby all of the threads of the threaded portion of the passageway are in engagement with the threads of the threaded bar.

摘要： A rock bolt dolly (10) which connects a self-drilling rock bolt (300), to a rock bolting apparatus and transfers percussive energy applied to the dolly (10) by the rock bolting apparatus (50) to the rock bolt during installation of the rock bolt in strata and rock is disclosed. The dolly includes coupling means (30a, 30b) for coupling the dolly to the output shaft of the rock bolting apparatus and a percussion plate (42) comprising an end plate (44) and integral side walls (47) defining an internally threaded recess for receiving the threaded end of the rock bolt, for applying percussive loading to the elongate hollow rod of the rock bolt (300) via the end plate and threaded side walls. The dolly also includes a body portion extending between the coupling means and the percussion plate transmitting forces from the output shaft to the percussion plate; which defines at least one passageway (136) for the passage of grout or resin from a reservoir through the rock bolt dolly and into the rock bolt.
