    摘要: A mechanism for communication in a virtualization system via multiple generic channels of a paravirtualized device is disclosed. A method of the invention includes creating one or more communication devices for each VM managed by a hypervisor of a host machine, exposing a plurality of ports on top of each created communication device to the VM that the communication device is associated with, specifying options for each port to enable the port to be used to establish a communication channel between the hypervisor and the VM, the options including a port name to associate with both of the port and the communication channel of the port, and creating a direct connection between two or more VMs via their associated communication devices in order to enable direct communication between the two or more VMs by utilizing the ports of their associated communication devices.

    摘要: An internal memory controller of a network processor or other type of processor controls access of processor clients to memory instances of an internal memory of the processor. The internal memory controller includes a configurable switching element that is connectable between the clients and the memory instances, and is operative to control access of particular ones of the clients to particular ones of the memory instances. Generally, the configurable switching element is configurable to connect any one of at least a subset of the clients to each of at least a subset of the memory instances. In a first selectable configuration of the configurable switching element, a given one of the processor clients is permitted to access a first set of one or more memory instances, and in a second selectable configuration of the configurable switching element, the given processor client is permitted to access a second set of one or more memory instances, with the second set being different than the first set.

    摘要: The present invention is a simple-to-use IV placement assist device with an added safety feature. A catheter advancer is slidably integrated with a base to guide advancement of a catheter linearly along the insertion path of the needle and catheter. A safety feature is engaged by a movable component moving from a first position to a second position, such movable enabling relative movement between the base and catheter advancer and/or catheter assembly, rotation of the needle about its length axis, and/or minor advancement of the catheter assembly to sheath the tip of the needle. The IV placement assist device stabilizes and guides the critical needle insertion and catheter advancement steps of a complication-prone and very common procedure.

    摘要: A top entry trunnion mounted rotary ball valve defining a main valve body having an upstream and a downstream ball seat assembly, the ball seat assemblies further including a soft insert seal, a ball seat, a seat retainer and a plurality of compression springs in between the ball seat and the seat retainer. A guiding groove on a cylindrical surface of each of the ball seats, having a first end and a second end at an axial distance equal to or more than a measure of retraction required so as to get a mechanical clearance to remove or assemble the ball member. Each ball seat is retracted in a recess against a force Fc of the compression springs and the mechanical clearance is created between the ball member and the soft insert seal, to remove or assemble the ball member and or any component from inside the valve body.
