    Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure relate to signaling between network entities to mitigate, through management of phase shifter or amplitude controller precision, increased interference applied to a network node during uplink beamforming resulting from low phase shift or amplitude control precision. A UE transmits first uplink data in a first beam using a phase shifter or an amplitude controller configured with a first bit precision. The UE receives a message from a network entity indicating to change the first bit precision to a different, second bit precision in response to the first beam interfering with downlink communications from or to a network node. The UE afterwards transmits second uplink data in a second beam using the phase shifter or the amplitude controller reconfigured with the second bit precision. Thus, interference from lower precision phase shifters or amplitude controllers may be avoided.

    Abstract: Method and apparatus for sharing dynamic capability levels of calibration to other devices in a network. The apparatus transmits, to a second UE, a first calibration capability message indicating a first set of one or more levels of calibration capabilities. The apparatus performs an online calibration procedure with the second UE based at least on the first calibration capability message indicating the first set of one or more levels of the calibration capabilities. The apparatus may receive, from the second UE, a second calibration capability message associated with the second UE indicating a second set of one or more levels of the calibration capabilities for the second UE. The apparatus may transmit a beamforming loss indication indicating a loss in beamforming array gain with use of an uncalibrated amplitude or phase settings corresponding to at least one of an operating frequency, a temperature level, or a gain stage level.

    Abstract: Apparatus, methods, and computer-readable media for facilitating a programmable smart repeater with in-band control are disclosed herein. An example method for wireless communication at a repeater includes establishing a control link with a control node and receiving, via the control link, a configuration for the repeating unit component of the repeater to forward communication between a first wireless device and a second wireless device on an access link. The example method also includes transitioning an MT component of the repeater to an RRC inactive mode or an RRC idle mode for at least a period of time after receiving the configuration and forwarding the communication between the first wireless device and the second wireless device on the access link based on the configuration while the MT component of the repeater is in the RRC inactive mode or the RRC idle mode.
