Abstract: This application discloses a communication system including a master base station and a secondary base station, both connecting with a terminal. In the communication system, the master base station sends a first message to the secondary base station for allocating transmission resources for one or more flows to be transmitted between the secondary base station and a terminal, wherein the first message carries one or both of: identification information of each flow to be transmitted, and information of a data radio bearer (DRB) associated with each flow to be transmitted, then the secondary base station may determine a mapping relationship between a DRB and an admitted flow according to the first message. Moreover, the master base station sends DRB configuration information to the terminal. Therefore, requirements of 5G communication systems for QoS management of information transmission in a dual connectivity scenario can be met.

Abstract: User equipment provides, to a network device, reference paging information generated according to a moving speed of the user equipment. The reference paging information is used by the network device to determine a paging area for sending a paging message. The network device receives the reference paging information generated by the user equipment according to the moving speed of the user equipment. The network device determines, according to the reference paging information, a paging area for sending a paging message to the user equipment. The network device sends, in the paging area, the paging message to the user equipment. The network device can determine the paging area according to the reference paging information, so that a paging resource waste in a paging process is reduced, relatively accurate paging is implemented, overheads of inter-network interfaces and air interfaces are greatly reduced, and system efficiency and stability are improved.

Abstract: A method and system for mobility latency reduction in a hierarchical NR architecture is provided. In an embodiment, a method in a network component for handover of a UE includes configuring, by the network component, at least one TRP determined according to UE mobility information. The configuring the at least one target TRP is performed prior to the UE moving into a border area between the at least one target TRP and a first serving TRP. Configuring the at least one target TRP results in the at least one target TRP being configured to act as a secondary serving TRP to the UE. The method also includes configuring at least one target TRP and the UE with corresponding dedicated access resource and monitoring opportunities. The method also includes activating a connection and data communication between the UE and the at least one pre-configured secondary serving TRP.

Abstract: A radio resource scheduling method and a related device are provided. In the method: a terminal determines a channel status of a channel according to at least one of first status information that is of the channel and that is indicated by a secondary eNodeB or second status information that is of the channel and that is obtained by the terminal. The terminal sends, to a master eNodeB, a first notification message configured to indicate the channel status, so that the master eNodeB performs radio resource scheduling for the terminal according to the first notification message. When the secondary eNodeB has not yet performed scheduling for the terminal, the master eNodeB allocates more radio resources to the terminal, and can obtain more chances for allocating a radio resource.

Abstract: A notification regarding a transition of a User Equipment (UE) from a standby operating mode to an active operating mode is exchanged between a UE and a network element in a communication network. The notification could be an uplink notification that is transmitted by the UE to the network element in response to an operating mode transition criterion for the UE being met at the UE, or a downlink notification that is transmitted by the network element to the UE in response to an operating mode transition criterion for the UE being met at the network element. The UE transitions from the standby operating mode to the active operating mode in response to the operating mode transition criterion being satisfied. The transmitter of the notification, which could be the UE or the network element, could also perform grant-free transmission of data without first receiving a response to the notification.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure provide a method for transmitting a service in a wireless communication network. The service is transmitted by a terminal device to a base station. The terminal device receives from the base station, information of a correspondence between a data radio bearer (DRB) and a radio interface technology supported in a frequency range of a cell. The frequency range is one of N frequency ranges, wherein N≥2. The terminal device also receives characteristic information of the radio interface technology, which includes a subcarrier spacing. The terminal device transmits the service on the DRB within the frequency range using the subcarrier spacing of the radio interface technology.

Abstract: A method, an apparatus, and a system for implementing data scheduling are provided. By adopting the method, the apparatus, and the system in embodiments of the present invention, a BSR is generated when uplink data that needs to be sent exists; and by using the BSR and correspondence between a logical channel and a base station, a UE can transmit the uplink data on a logical channel that corresponds to a base station, thereby avoiding a problem that data cannot be processed because a radio resource and a logical channel correspond to different base stations, so that the UE can transfer data to be uploaded to a correct base station corresponding thereto, which greatly improves efficiency of data scheduling in a mode of carrier aggregation between base stations.
