A method and apparatus for providing access to teleconference services using voice recognition technology to receive information on packet networks such as Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) and Service over Internet Protocol (SoIP) networks are disclosed. In one embodiment, the service provider enables a caller to enter access information for accessing a conference service using at least one natural language response.

The invention relates to a method for authorizing a telephone transaction and in particular an access to a database through a user in a telecommunication network, said telecommunication network comprising a user interface, an access control for the database and an authentification device, which are connected with each other over a local node in the telecommunication network, as well as to a corresponding local node.The invention is characterized in that the comparative result is output by the authentification device over the local node to the access control and the result of the comparison is communicated by the access control to the user over the local node, signals sent by the authentification device being masked.
Abstract:
A voiceprint of a calling party, and identifying information, are obtained during a call. One or more voiceprint samples stored in association with the identifying information are selected, and the calling party's identity is verified based on a comparison of the voiceprint to at least one of the selected voiceprint samples. For example, the voiceprint samples may be derived from a verbal utterance by the calling party before the call, mixed with different background noises likely corrupting the calling party's utterance during the call. If the comparison fails to determine the calling party's identity, an attempt to verify the calling party's identity is made based on additional information received during the call. In another example, if the calling party's identity is verified based on the additional information, the voiceprint may be stored in association with the identifying information as a voiceprint sample for use in future verification of the calling party's identity.

Disclosed are systems, methods, and computer readable media for tracking a person of interest. The method embodiment comprises identifying a person of interest, capturing a voiceprint of the person of interest, comparing a received voiceprint of a caller with the voiceprint of the person of interest, and tracking the caller if the voiceprint of the caller is a substantial match to the voiceprint of the person of interest.

A user of a conversational biometrics based voice mail system sets a user profile of the user that defines one or more biometric parameters of received voice mail intended for the user. A conversational biometrics device analyzes the voice mail in accordance with the one or more biometric parameters of the user profile set by the user and generates a biometric analysis result of the voice mail. The conversational biometrics device assigns a priority for delivery of the voice mail compared with a plurality of voice mails received by the conversational biometrics based voice mail system in accordance with the biometric analysis result and places the voice mail in a sequence in a delivery queue determined by the assigned priority. The delivery queue of the conversational biometrics based voice mail system delivers the voice mail to the user in the sequence determined by the assigned priority.
Abstract:
Transparent voice registration of a party is provided in order to provide voice verification for communications with a service center. Verbal communication spoken by a party during interaction between the party and an agent of the service center is captured. A voice model associated with the captured communication is created and stored in order to provide voice verification during a subsequent call to the service center. When a requester contacts the service center, a comparison of the voice of the requester and a voice model of the person that the requester claims to be is performed, in order to verify the identity of the requester. Additionally, a voice model associated with a party is automatically updated after a subsequent communication between the party and the service center.

A receiver receives from a remote system a voice biometric sample from a party attempting to obtain a service from the apparatus using the remote system. A processor selectively determines when to request authentication of the party by a remote voice biometric system. A transmitter transmit a request to the party to provide the voice biometric sample responsive to the processor determining to request authentication of the party. The apparatus provides the service contingent upon authentication of the party by the remote voice biometric system.

An individual's identity is verifiable using voice biometrics. A voice biometric system includes a receiver configured to receive, from a remote communications device, a voice biometric sample of a party attempting to obtain a service from a remote system. The service is provided contingent on authentication of the party as the individual. The voice biometric system also includes a processor configured to compare the voice biometric sample received by the receiver to voice biometric information obtained from a storage to authenticate the identity of the party as the individual. The receiver and processor are provided within a communications network.
Abstract:
Methods, systems, and computer-readable media provide for the management of an audio environment with multiple audio sources. According to various embodiments described herein, real-time audio from multiple sources is received. A speaker is identified for each of the audio sources. Upon detecting a change from a first audio source to a second audio source, an identification of the speaker associated with the second audio source is provided. According to various embodiments, a recording of the real-time audio may be made and descriptors inserted to identify each speaker as the audio source changes. Real-time feedback from the speakers regarding characteristics of the audio may be received and corresponding adjustments to the audio made.

A method is provided for identifying a calling party to a called party utilizing biometric information. Biometric information of first calling party is received. If stored, a calling party profile is retrieved based on first calling party biometric information. A call is placed to a called party. The first calling party profile is provided to called party. A biometric information change from first calling party biometric information to a second calling party biometric information is automatically detected, and it is determined whether the second party biometric information is stored. If stored, a second calling party profile of second calling party is retrieved and is provided to called party. Responsive to determining that the biometric information for second calling party is not stored, the called party is notified that the second calling party is communicating and the second calling party profile is automatically created based on second calling party biometric information.
