Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may identify one or more slots in which an aperiodic channel state information (A-CSI) report communication on a multi-slot physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) overlaps with a second communication on a physical uplink control channel (PUCCH). The UE may select for a slot of the one or more slots, an uplink communication from the A-CSI report communication or the second communication based at least in part on a first priority assigned to the A-CSI report communication and a second priority assigned to the second communication. The UE may determine whether to transmit the uplink communication on the multi-slot PUSCH or the PUCCH in the slot. The UE may transmit the uplink communication in the slot. An exemplary method generally includes receiving an indication of a modulation and coding scheme (MCS) to use for transmitting information, wherein the indication of the MCS indicates an MCS index value corresponding to an entry in an MCS lookup table, determining, based on the MCS index value, a transport block size (TBS) to use for transmitting the information, wherein determining the TBS comprises receiving an explicit indication of the TBS to use for transmitting the information, and transmitting the information using the MCS and TBS.

In some aspects, a base station may transmit a plurality of physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) communications in a same PDCCH monitoring occasion in a first cell, and may transmit a plurality of physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) communications in at least one of the first cell or a second cell. Each of the PDCCH communications schedules a respective PDSCH communication of the plurality of PDSCH communications. A PDCCH communication, of the plurality of PDCCH communications, includes an indication of a counter downlink assignment index that is based at least in part on a combination of a starting symbol and a cell in which an associated PDSCH communication is to be transmitted, a cell index of the cell in which the associated PDSCH communication is to be transmitted, and the PDCCH monitoring occasion. Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described related to a slot format for low latency sidelink communications. A group of user equipments (UEs) may receive an indication of a configuration of a sidelink resource pool. The sidelink resource pool may include one or more slots and one or more subchannels, and a slot of the sidelink resource pool may include a control region allocated for a sidelink control channel and a set of contiguous subslots each allocated for a sidelink data channel. A first UE may transmit sidelink control information (SCI) to a second UE in the control region of a slot to reserve one or more subslot of the same slot or any quantity of different slots for a sidelink message. The first UE may transmit the sidelink message to the second UE in the subslot.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In a wireless communications system, a first UE may determine, for a set of symbols for sidelink communications between the first UE and a second UE, a first resource configuration including a single first TTI and a second resource configuration including two or more second TTIs. The first TTI and the second TTIs may span the set of symbols, and the two or more second TTIs may be shorter in length than the single first TTI. The first UE may select, from the first resource configuration and the second resource configuration, a sidelink channel resource configuration for a data transmission to the second UE. Then, the first UE may transmit the data transmission to the second UE according to the selected sidelink channel resource configuration.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. PAPR may be relevant to managing transmitter power, receiver sensitivity, or both, and transmissions of a particular device may consider various PAPR reduction strategies to manage transmission power at the device. However, relay devices may be configured to forward communications from multiple transmitting devices, and PAPR may not be considered for aggregate signaling via such a relay device. In some examples of the described PAPR management techniques, assisting transmitters may be configured to transmit PAPR reduction signaling that may be received by a relay device, such that an aggregated signal that is received and forwarded by the relay device may have lower PAPR. Additionally, or alternatively, in some examples of the described PAPR management techniques, a relay device itself may inject PAPR reduction signaling into a received signal to reduce PAPR of a transmission by the relay device.

Abstract: A method, a computer-readable medium, and an apparatus are provided that enable use of a full transmission power for a UE having a first set of coherent antenna ports that is non-coherent to a second set of coherent antenna ports. The apparatus determines a transmission power for a data transmission from the UE to a base station based at least in part on power control signaling from the base station, determines at least one antenna port having non-zero data for transmission, and determines a transmission power split for the at least one antenna port. Then, the apparatus transmits the data transmission from the at least one antenna port, wherein a combined transmission power from the at least one antenna port corresponds to the transmission power determined based at least in part on the power control signaled from the base station.

Abstract: Generally, the described techniques provide for efficiently transmitting uplink signals to a base station using shared antennas associated with different power classes. A first device may be in communications with a base station using local antennas and may identify a second device having auxiliary antennas available for transmitting uplink signals to the base station. The local and auxiliary antennas may be associated with different power classes, and the first device may transmit a message to a base station indicating that the first device is capable of transmitting using antennas associated with different power classes. The first device may then receive configurations from a base station of different transmit powers to transmit on the antennas associated with the different power classes, and the first device may transmit uplink signals to the base station in accordance with the different transmit power configurations.
