Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may transmit a UE capability message to a base station, the UE capability message including an indication of a UE type, the UE type associated with at least one of a reduced bandwidth, or a reduced number of antennas, or a combination thereof, for the UE. The UE may monitor, based at least in part on a control resource set that is based at least in part on the UE type, a control channel for a downlink grant for downlink resources. The UE may receive, based at least in part on the monitoring, a grant identifying the downlink resources for communicating with the base station. The UE may communicate with the base station using the identified downlink resources.

A user equipment (UE) may determine one or more sidelink discontinuous reception (DRX) parameters for a configured sidelink DRX cycle. The sidelink DRX parameters may be selected by the UE or may be indicated by a base station. In some cases, the UE may transmit an indication of the sidelink DRX parameters to another UE (e.g., via a sidelink communication link). A UE may discontinuously monitor for transmissions over the sidelink communication link in accordance with the sidelink DRX parameters.

Abstract: Aspects described herein relate to measuring cross-link interference in wireless communications. A portion of a slot that includes a downlink reference signal transmitted by a base station and an uplink reference signal transmitted by a user equipment (UE) can be determined, where the uplink reference signal and the downlink reference signal at least partially overlap within the portion of the slot. The downlink reference signal can be received from the base station and the uplink reference signal can be received from the UE in the portion of the slot. Cross-link interference between the downlink reference signal and the uplink reference signal can be measured.

The UE may monitor a control channel in a first slot for the cross-slot grant, the control channel having a first numerology that is different than a second numerology of a shared channel and determine a beginning slot defined in the second numerology based on interpreting the scheduling offset threshold as being defined in the first numerology or the second numerology. The UE may then enter a low power state, or communicating a data transmission, during the beginning slot based on whether the cross-slot grant is detected

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. According to one or more aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive a configuration message from a base station. The configuration message may configure the UE based on one or more identifiers associated with a group of UEs. The UE may determine at least one identifier based on receiving the configuration message, and may monitor a signal based on the at least one identifier. In some cases, the signal may indicate whether the UE should skip an upcoming duration associated with a discontinuous reception. The UE may then communicate with the base station, based on monitoring the signal.

Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure relate to wireless communications utilizing discontinuous reception (DRX). Disclosed methods and apparatus include providing a grant indicator in a transmission from a base station to a user equipment (UE), where indicator notifies the UE of a grant of data during a subsequent discontinuous reception (DRX) cycle in the at least one UE. Additionally, a tracking reference signal (TRS), which may be aperiodic (A-TRS), is transmitted prior to an on-duration time of the DRX cycle, where the TRS is usable by the UE for updating a tracking loop and also can be referenced by the indicator. In this manner, the combination of the grant indicator and the TRS affords a UE sufficient time for updating a UE tracking loop before the DRX cycle. Other aspects, embodiments, and features are also claimed and described.

Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for minimizing latency between receipt of a NACK at a base station from a user equipment (UE) and retransmission of data to the UE. Time constraints for processing the ACK/NACK are relaxed so the base station can decode the ACK/NACK to determine whether a NACK has been received and then prepare for transmission of the appropriate data to the UE in the immediately following transmission time interval (TTI). These constraints are relaxed by separating download data indicator (DDI) from the PDCCH control data and delaying transmission of the DDI until decoding of the ACK/NACK.
