Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described for controlling multiplexing of a reference signal on an uplink shared channel (UL-SCH). In an implementation, a user equipment (UE) may time division multiplex (TDM) a demodulation reference signal (DMRS) with other signaling across symbol periods of one or more allocated resource blocks. The UE may map the DMRS to resource elements of one or more symbol periods within the allocated resource blocks. The UE may then map uplink control information (UCI) to one or more symbol periods different than the symbol periods of the DMRS mapping. In some cases, the DMRS, UCI, or both may be frequency interleaved with UL-SCH data for the allocated resource blocks. The UE may generate and transmit an uplink waveform for transmission within the allocated resources of the uplink shared channel.

Abstract: One apparatus may be configured to transmit a set of reference signals on shared resources of a first communication link and a second communication link, the set of reference signals indicating an interference channel on the shared resources. The apparatus may further communicate data or control information on the first communication link following transmission of the set of reference signals. Another apparatus may be configured to detect a signal on shared resources of a first communication link and a second communication link, the signal being indicating an interference channel on the shared resources. The other apparatus may further perform channel estimation on the interference channel based on detecting the signal. The other apparatus may further communicate data or control information on the first communication link based on the channel estimation on the interference channel.

Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for multiplexing high priority uplink control information (UCI) and low priority UCI on a physical uplink control channel (PUCCH). A method includes determining a total number of resource blocks to transmit encoded UCI bits based on a quantized payload size of a second one or more encoded UCI bits of a second priority and a non-quantized payload size of a first one or more encoded UCI bits of a first priority. The method generally includes mapping the second one or more encoded UCI bits to a first number of resource elements associated with the quantized payload size and the first one or more encoded UCI bits to a second number of REs and transmitting the encoded UCI bits in a PUCCH in accordance with the mapping.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described to enable a user equipment (UE) to perform power-boosting to increase power for specific portions (e.g., repetitions, symbols, slots) of an uplink transmission, where the portion may overlap with a previously-scheduled uplink transmission from another UE. The base station may configure the UE to apply power-boosting to all portions of the uplink transmission or over specific slots or repetitions of the uplink transmission, or to apply power-boosting if the uplink transmission occupies one slot or repetition. The base station may configure the UE semi-statically or dynamically with the power-boosting configuration, and may configure the UE to perform power-boosting for repetitions of the uplink transmission corresponding to one or more predefined transmission reception points, panels, beams, or precoders. The UE may transmit the uplink transmission to the base station based on the power-boosting configuration.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Wireless communications systems may employ one or more scheduling constraints to support efficient utilization of techniques for intra-device handling of overlapping scheduled uplink transmissions (e.g., intra-device dynamic resource cancelation and multiplexing) as well as inter-device handling of overlapping scheduled uplink transmissions (e.g., inter-device dynamic resource cancelation and multiplexing). Scheduling constraints may define how a device may apply intra-device and inter-device multiplexing and cancelation rules for various scenarios. For example, a device may apply intra-UE cancelation rules before inter-device cancelation rules. In some examples, later-received grants or uplink preemption indications (ULPIs) may not change a device's previously established decision to drop an uplink transmission. As another example, a device may not expect to receive a grant for an uplink transmission that would arise in subsequent cancelation of that uplink transmission due to a previously-received grant or previously-received ULPI.

Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may identify one or more slots in which an aperiodic channel state information (A-CSI) report communication on a multi-slot physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) overlaps with a second communication on a physical uplink control channel (PUCCH). The UE may select for a slot of the one or more slots, an uplink communication from the A-CSI report communication or the second communication based at least in part on a first priority assigned to the A-CSI report communication and a second priority assigned to the second communication. The UE may determine whether to transmit the uplink communication on the multi-slot PUSCH or the PUCCH in the slot. The UE may transmit the uplink communication in the slot. Numerous other aspects are provided.

Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for wireless communication. An exemplary method generally includes receiving an indication of a modulation and coding scheme (MCS) to use for transmitting information, wherein the indication of the MCS indicates an MCS index value corresponding to an entry in an MCS lookup table, determining, based on the MCS index value, a transport block size (TBS) to use for transmitting the information, wherein determining the TBS comprises receiving an explicit indication of the TBS to use for transmitting the information, and transmitting the information using the MCS and TBS.

Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a base station may transmit a plurality of physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) communications in a same PDCCH monitoring occasion in a first cell, and may transmit a plurality of physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) communications in at least one of the first cell or a second cell. Each of the PDCCH communications schedules a respective PDSCH communication of the plurality of PDSCH communications. A PDCCH communication, of the plurality of PDCCH communications, includes an indication of a counter downlink assignment index that is based at least in part on a combination of a starting symbol and a cell in which an associated PDSCH communication is to be transmitted, a cell index of the cell in which the associated PDSCH communication is to be transmitted, and the PDCCH monitoring occasion. Numerous other aspects are provided.
