Abstract: Aspects described herein relate to sidelink-assisted virtual multi-link. In one aspect, for example, a relay node may serve as an additional virtual antenna panel for a UE by receiving downlink data from a base station via an access link, or receiving uplink data from the UE via a sidelink. The relay node may forward the downlink data to the UE via sidelink, or the uplink data to the base station via the access link. In another aspect, a base station may determine, for a UE, quasi-colocation (QCL) information and a grant for one or both of one or more access link resources or one or more sidelink resources. The base station may further transmit, to the UE, the QCL information and the grant on a downlink communication channel.

Abstract: Some aspects provide an apparatus for wireless communication, in accordance with some aspects of the present disclosure. The apparatus generally includes at least one processor, and at least one memory communicatively coupled with the at least one processor and storing processor-readable code. The processor-readable code, when executed by the at least one processor, may be configured to transmit a packet including at least one medium access control-control element (MAC-CE), receive hybrid automatic request (HARQ) signaling indicating whether the packet was decoded successfully, determine, in response to the HARQ signaling, whether to retransmit the at least one MAC-CE or transmit at least one other MAC-CE based on whether the packet comprises data, and transmit another packet having the at least one MAC-CE or the at least one other MAC-CE based on the determination.

Abstract: Disclosed are techniques for wireless communication. In an aspect, a transmitter user equipment (UE) determines a first zone identifier (ID) corresponding to a first zone in which the transmitter UE is located, determines a distance threshold based on a distance requirement of an application associated with the transmitter UE, determines a second zone ID based on the first zone ID, the distance threshold, a size of the first zone, or any combination thereof, and transmits the second zone ID and the distance threshold to one or more receiver UEs. In an aspect, the receiver UE receives the second zone ID and the distance threshold, determines a distance between the receiver UE and the transmitter UE based on the second zone ID and a location of the receiver UE, and transmits, based on the distance being less than the distance threshold, a feedback message to the transmitter UE.

Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for managing a hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) buffer. An example method that may be performed by a first user equipment (UE) includes dropping, in response to a HARQ budget that is exceeded relative to a number of active HARQ processes, according to one or more rules, at least one of the transmissions or one or more transport blocks (TBs) associated with the at least one of the transmissions from being processed. Abstract: Aspects relate to managing a device-to-device communication link via radio resource control (RRC) layer signaling. In an example operation, a first wireless communication device establishes a unicast link with a second wireless communication device over a device-to-device communication interface and determines that the unicast link is to be reconfigured with at least one updated parameter. The first wireless communication device then sends a link reconfiguration request to the second wireless communication device via a first RRC message over the communication interface. The first RRC message includes the at least one updated parameter. The first wireless communication device receives a link reconfiguration response from the second wireless communication device via a second RRC message over the communication interface based on the link reconfiguration request and determines whether to reconfigure the unicast link using the at least one updated parameter based on the received link reconfiguration response.

Abstract: An improved manner of transmitting and receiving messages in sidelink communication is presented in which a wireless device receives sidelink control information (SCI) that indicates a zone ID associated with a sidelink message. The wireless device determines a location of the wireless device and determines whether to send feedback for the sidelink message based, at least in part, on the zone ID associated with the sidelink message and the location of the wireless device. The feedback may include hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) feedback, and the sidelink message may include a groupcast message. The wireless device may further receive an indication of an intended range in the SCI and may determine whether to send the feedback based on a combination of the zone ID and the intended range for the sidelink message.

A first packet can be obtained, by a wireless communications device, from an application generated for a radio access technology (RAT), where the first packet includes a QoS value associated with the RAT. A reflective indicator can be set in a header of the first packet to indicate a configuration, including a QoS value, to be used by a receiving device in transmitting a second packet. The first packet can be transmitted to the receiving device.
