Abstract: Some wireless communication systems may attempt to balance frequent transmission opportunities (e.g., where the frequency of the opportunities may refer to gaps in the time domain, frequency domain, etc.) with a desire for communication reliability and/or interference diversity. In accordance with the described techniques, some such systems may apportion communicating devices into groups, where resources are strategically assigned to each group so as to reduce latency without significantly compromising communication reliability or interference diversity (e.g., by allowing a membership of the groups to cycle through all possible combinations before repeating). Such techniques may support delay-sensitive communications, channel sounding procedures, or other similar types of transmissions. Resources may be allocated based on a scheduling parameter transmitted to a user equipment (UE), which may implicitly or explicitly indicate a plurality of resource offsets to the UE.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A base station and a user equipment (UE) may communicate in a high reliability and low latency communications system (e.g., ultra-reliable low latency communications (URLLC)). The base station may signal a UE-specific scheduling request (SR) repetition configuration that the UE may utilize to transmit an instantaneous SR when a buffer status report (BSR) is triggered by a new data packet. The UE may repeatedly transmit the SR until a number of repetitions or a time period of repetitions is met or an uplink grant is received from the base station. The SR repetition configuration may include a number of parameters including a repetition setting, power settings, a resource allocation, and an acknowledgement/negative acknowledgment (ACK/NACK) procedure.

The base station may transmit the grant repetition parameter to the UE to indicate the first grant repetition configuration. The base station may transmit a repetition of grants in accordance with the first grant repetition configuration. The UE may receive the grant repetition parameter from the base station and determine a grant repetition configuration corresponding to the grant repetition parameter. The UE may monitor for a repetition of grants corresponding to the determined grant repetition configuration.

The apparatus maintains one or more HARQ processes at a HARQ entity up to the determined number of HAR processes and communicate with the one or more other devices utilizing the one or more HARQ processes.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices are described for wireless communication. In one method, a method of wireless communication at a user equipment (UE) includes receiving a synchronization signal. The synchronization signal may be common to a plurality of cells within a network. The method further includes acquiring a timing of the network based on the synchronization signal, and transmitting a pilot signal in response to acquiring the timing of the network. The pilot signal may identify the UE and be concurrently receivable by the plurality of cells within the network. Other aspects, features, and embodiments are also claimed and described.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatuses for wireless communication are described. In some wireless systems (e.g., new radio (NR) systems), a system may employ fixed or variable length uplink burst regions (e.g., in an uplink-centric slot). The base station may semi-statically or dynamically configure a user equipment (UE) or group of UEs for uplink control channel transmissions within an uplink burst region. In semi-static configuration, the UE may determine the uplink control channel transmission based on values transmitted or indicated via higher-layer signaling or based on default values. In dynamic configuration, the UE may receive an indication of actual resources used by the base station in a physical layer message. The UE may transmit using an uplink control channel transmission based on the indication. In some cases, the base station may allocate code division multiplexing (CDM) groups based on which UEs are semi-statically configured and which are dynamically configured.
