Abstract: A method, an apparatus, and a computer program product for wireless communication are provided. The apparatus may identify a potential collision between a scheduled legacy transmission time interval (TTI) communication and a scheduled shortened TTI (sTTI) communication, the legacy TTI communication having a legacy TTI duration that is longer than an sTTI duration associated with the sTTI communication. The apparatus may determine whether the legacy TTI communication is within a threshold time of being transmitted. The apparatus may transmit at least one of the sTTI communication, the legacy TTI communication, or any combination thereof, based at least in part on the determination.

Abstract: In accordance with one or more aspects and corresponding disclosure thereof, various aspects are described in connection with channel state information (CSI) for a plurality of downlink carriers. In providing the CSI from a user equipment (UE), respective CSI reports may be determined for the plurality of downlink carriers. The respective CSI reports may be scheduled to be conveyed on a plurality of uplink carriers in a subframe. A determination may be made as to whether the UE is power limited for that subframe. Based at least in part on the determination, the respective CSI reports may be transmitted on the plurality of uplink carriers in the subframe, or transmitted on a subset of the plurality of uplink carriers in the subframe, or dropped.

Abstract: The present disclosure may enable a buffer to accommodate HARQ processes for transmissions with different TTIs when the UE is configured for legacy communications and ULL communications. The apparatus may allocate a first number of HARQ IDs to a first portion of a buffer, the first number of HARQ IDs being associated with a first transmission TTI HARQ process. In addition, the apparatus may allocate a second number of HARQ IDs to a second portion of the buffer. In an aspect, the second number of HARQ IDs may be associated with a second TTI HARQ process. In addition, the first portion and second portion may not change a total buffer size. The apparatus may also receive a HARQ response associated with a HARQ ID allocated to the first portion or the second portion.

Abstract: A method, an apparatus, and a computer program product for wireless communication are provided. A base station transmits a provisional grant uplink assignment to a set of UEs. When a UE receives the provisional grant uplink assignment, the UE performs a clear channel assessment (CCA) operation on a secondary component carrier (SCC) based on the provisional grant UL assignment, the SCC being a contention-based carrier. Then, the UE transmits a schedule request (SR) on the SCC when the CCA operation succeeds. The base station transmits grant confirmation(s) on the SCC in response to the detected SR(s). Once the UE receives a grant confirmation on the SCC in response to the SR, the UE transmits data on the SCC.
