    Abstract: Wireless communications systems and methods related to communicating a serving cell dormancy indication field and acknowledgement. In some implementations, a wireless communication device (e.g., user equipment), may detect a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) with a secondary cell (Scell) dormancy indication field. The user equipment can change states from an initial state to another state (e.g., a dormancy-like state to a non-dormancy like state) based on detecting Scell indicator field in the PDCCH. The user equipment may also transmit a hybrid-ARQ acknowledgment (HARQ-ACK) in response to the detecting the PDCCH with the Scell dormancy indication field. Other aspects and features are also claimed and described.

    Abstract: Aspects are provided in which narrow channels are configured and carrier aggregated with defined channel bandwidths in order to support irregular channel bandwidths that are not a multiple of 5 MHz or other defined bandwidth multiple. An apparatus such as a UE receives, from a base station, a configuration for carrier aggregation for a PCell and one or more SCells. A total bandwidth of the PCell and the one or more SCells is not a defined bandwidth multiple. The apparatus communicates with the base station through the PCell and the one or more SCells. In this way, the available spectrum of wireless operators that include channel bandwidths of irregular size may be supported.

    Abstract: An aspect of this disclosure relates to a relay node, and a method of wireless communications by the relay node, including attempting to decode first code block groups of a transport block received in a resource allocation and according to a first encoding configuration. The aspects include identifying a symbol in the resource allocation that includes both of a first part of a successfully decoded one, and a first part of an unsuccessfully decoded one, of the plurality of first code block groups, and determining a modified transmit configuration for the symbol. Further, the aspects include encoding a second part of the successfully decoded one according to the first encoding configuration to define a second code block group that is outside of the symbol. Additionally, the aspects include transmitting the transport block including the one or more second code block groups and the symbol according to the modified transmit configuration.

    Abstract: This disclosure relates to a relay node, and a method of wireless communications by the relay node, including attempting to decode a plurality of first transport block portions of a transport block, wherein the plurality of first transport block portions are received on a first link according to a first encoding configuration. The aspects further include encoding successfully decoded ones of the plurality of first transport block portions according to a second encoding configuration to define one or more second transport block portions corresponding to the transport block, wherein the second encoding configuration is different from the first encoding configuration. And, the aspects further include transmitting the one or more second transport block portions on a second link and according to the second encoding configuration. Other aspects of the relay node and a receiver node are also disclosed.
