    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described that support listen before talk (LBT) for uplink transmissions using multiple subbands. A base station may support communication with a user equipment (UE) via multiple subbands and may transmit an uplink grant to the UE that allocates resources of the multiple subbands for transmission of a shared data channel by the UE. The base station may include an indication within the uplink grant that indicates to the UE to perform a given type of LBT for each subband. After transmitting the uplink grant, the base station may transmit control information or other signaling (e.g., channel occupancy time system information (COT-SI)) that indicates subbands on which the UE is to perform a given type of LBT or other subbands on which the UE is to perform a different type of LBT.

    Abstract: Wireless communications systems and methods related to communications in a network are provided. A user equipment (UE) may generate during a first time period, an uplink (UL) communication signal based on a scheduled grant or a configured UL grant. The UE may detect a downlink (DL) communication from a base station (BS) during a second time period after the first time period. The DL communication is devoid of the scheduled grant and the configured UL grant. The UE may transmit to the BS, the UL communication signal based on the scheduled grant or the configured UL grant in response to detecting the DL communication.

    Abstract: A transmission opportunity (TO) allows a transmitting device, such as a base station to transmit up to a pre-determined TO duration. For new radio (NR), subcarrier spacing (SCS) is no longer fixed. This may limit a TO duration for a UE to a small portion of the allowed TO duration, for new radio (NR), a transport block (TB) takes up one slot. A method, apparatus, and computer-readable medium are disclosed extend a TB over more than one slot to maximize utilization of a TO duration, for improved resource utilization and service quality. A method, apparatus, and computer-readable medium implemented by a communication device are disclosed to receive a signaling message, to configure a flexible transport block (TB) to extend the TB over more than one slot. Then the communication device may receive a portion of the flexible TB, based on the received signaling message.

    Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure relate to communication systems, and more particularly, to a control resource set (coreset) for transmitting physical downlink control channels using a single-carrier waveform in communications systems operating according to new radio (NR) technologies. In an exemplary method, a base station may determine a first control resource set (coreset) of time and frequency resources within a control region of system bandwidth, to transmit a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) to a user equipment (UE) and transmit the PDCCH to the UE as a single-carrier waveform via the first coreset of time and frequency resources.

    Abstract: Wireless communications systems and methods related to initial network access in a network deployed over a downlink unlicensed band paired with one or more UL bands are provided. A first wireless communication device communicates, with a second wireless communication device in a downlink unlicensed band, a first broadcast communication signal during a discovery time period configured based on a network discovery configuration. The first broadcast communication signal includes a configuration for requesting a second broadcast communication signal when there is no second broadcast communication signal detected within the discovery time period. The first wireless communication device communicates, with the second wireless communication device, a request for the second broadcast communication signal based on the configuration.     Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods, and apparatuses, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for wireless communications and more specifically for handling hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) processes with discontinuous reception (DRX) operations. In some implementations, a user equipment (UE) may use a timer to maintain an ON duration in a DRX cycle based on receiving a downlink control information (DCI) message with a data-to-feedback timing indicator (for example, a K1 value) indicating a non-numeric value for a data message. For example, the UE may receive a DCI message with feedback timing for the data message based on maintaining the ON duration. In some other implementations, a UE may use a timer to maintain an ON duration following a feedback opportunity to support dynamic group-based HARQ messaging. For example, the UE may receive a DCI message requesting a retransmission of feedback information based on maintaining the ON duration.
