    Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for beam refinement procedures including dynamic signaling and/or selection of beam-switching latency for beam refinement procedures using inter- and/or intra-antenna module beam switching. A method by a base station (BS) includes configuring a user equipment (UE) with one or more reference signal (RS) resource sets. Each of the one or more RS resource sets is associated with a first or second type of beam refinement procedure. The BS receives an indication from the UE of at least a first latency and a second latency, longer than the first latency. The BS dynamically selects, for each RS transmission using one of the configured resource sets, the first or second latency. The BS sends the RS transmissions at the selected latency with respect to downlink control information (DCI) triggering the RS transmissions for the first or second type of beam refinement procedure.

    Abstract: A method, apparatus, and computer-readable medium are provided that improve decoding of downlink data that has been rate matched around aperiodic tracking reference signals, e.g., aperiodic CSI-RS. A UE receives a downlink control channel scheduling a downlink data channel. The downlink control channel may comprise an indication of a zero-power channel state information-reference signal (ZP CSI-RS) configuration from a base station. The UE receives the downlink data channel that is rate matched around CSI-RS resources indicated in the ZP CSI-RS configuration and decodes the downlink data channel based on the indication of the ZP CSI-RS configuration received from the base station.

    Abstract: Various aspects described herein relate to techniques for signaling and using one or more virtual cell identifications (V-cell IDs) for single frequency network (SFN)-type of transmissions in wireless communications systems. A method, a computer-readable medium, and an apparatus are provided. In an aspect, the method may include performing, by a user equipment (UE), a cell search to obtain a cell ID, and decoding, by the UE, a message based on the cell ID, wherein the message includes a master information block (MIB). The method may further include identifying, by the UE, a virtual cell ID used for SFN-type transmissions based on information decoded from the message. The techniques described herein may apply to different communications technologies, including 5th Generation (5G) New Radio (NR) communications technology.
