Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for displaying personalized preview images during trick-play operations of a media asset based on user profile data and an importance of frames of the media asset. A request from a user to move a slider of a progress bar associated with a media asset is received while the media asset is being generated for display. A scene from the media asset that contains a play position indicated by the slider is identified and a frame that best matches user profile data of the user and importance data for the scene is identified. The identified frame is generated for display as an overlay over the displayed media asset.

Abstract: Methods for automatically suggesting content items to an author of a digital page so that they can be added to the page. One embodiment comprises a method that includes opening a digital page in a digital page editor and launching a component browser that enables the viewing of a set of digital content items stored in a content repository. Textual information is extracted from the digital page and the digital assets contained in the page. This information is analyzed to identify words indicative of the page's subject matter. A query is generated based on the identified words and submitted to a search engine, which searches the repository for items related to the subject matter of the page. The content items identified by the search results are displayed to the author, who can select one of the items to add it to the page.

Abstract: A method for lane boundary detection. The method may include obtaining an image of an environment of a vehicle. The environment may include at least one lane boundary; the images may include image segments; calculating image segment lane boundary metadata for relevant image segments. The calculating is executed by a neural network and is based on the image segments; wherein each relevant image segment comprises one or more lane boundary points candidates; wherein image segment lane boundary metadata that is related to a relevant image segment which may include (i) location information about location of the one or more lane boundary points candidates of the relevant image segment, and (ii) angular information regarding an angle between lane boundary points candidates of the image; and determining an estimate of a lane boundary of the at least one lane boundary; wherein the determining is based on the image segment lane boundary metadata of the relevant image segments; wherein the determining comprises applying a process that differs from neural network processing.

Abstract: Techniques are described for computing devices to perform automated operations to determine the acquisition locations of images, such as within a building interior based on automatically determined shapes of rooms of the building, and for using the determined image acquisition location information in further automated manners. The image may be a panorama image or of another type (e.g., a rectilinear perspective image) and acquired at an acquisition location in a multi-room building's interior, and the determined acquisition location for such an image may be at least a location on the building's floor plan and optionally an orientation/direction for at least a part of the image—in addition, the automated image acquisition location determination may be further performed without having or using information from any depth sensors or other distance-measuring devices about distances from an image's acquisition location to walls or other objects in the surrounding building.
