Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment may receive a configuration of a resource pool for configured grant uplink communications, wherein the resource pool is associated with an admission probability parameter that controls an admission probability for access to the resource pool; receive an indication that modifies the admission probability; and perform an admission control procedure to attempt access to the resource pool for transmission of a configured grant uplink communication based at least in part on the indication, wherein the admission control procedure is associated with the modified admission probability. Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A first user equipment (UE) may perform a channel access procedure to gain access to a bandwidth part in a shared spectrum for sidelink communications with a second UE. The first UE may transmit a signal to the second UE using one or more sub-bands of the bandwidth part, and the signal may include one or more sidelink synchronization signal blocks (S-SSBs) multiplexed with frequency resources associated with a physical sidelink shared channel (PSSCH). The one or more S-SSBs may be transmitted using a set of symbol periods of a transmission time interval (TTI) (e.g., a slot) that are preceded by a least four initial symbol periods of the TTI. In some examples, the first UE may transmit a sidelink control information (SCI) message indicating which of the one or more sub-bands include the one or more S-SSBs.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In a first case, a first user equipment (UE) may transmit to a second UE a sidelink discovery message preamble corresponding to a sidelink discovery message. The first UE may identify resources for transmission of the sidelink discovery messages based on the sidelink discovery message preamble. The first UE may either transmit the sidelink discovery message to the second UE or may receive the sidelink discovery message from the second UE using the identified resources for the transmission of the sidelink discovery message. In some cases, the second UE may transmit sidelink control information (SCI) to the first UE, and may transmit a sidelink discovery message to the first UE based on resources identified in the SCI. In some cases, the first UE may transmit the sidelink discovery message without transmission of a preamble or a SCI.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A sidelink message may be scheduled for a UE during a first short transmission time interval (TTI). The first short TTI and a second short TTI for transmitting a sidelink feedback message corresponding to the sidelink message may both be shorter in duration than a another, longer type of TTI. The UE may transmit automatic gain control information in a first symbol period of the second TTI, transmit the sidelink feedback message in a second symbol period of the second TTI (after the first symbol period of the second TTI), and switch from operating in a transmitting mode to operating in a receiving mode during a third symbol period of the second TTI (after the second symbol period of the second TTI).

Abstract: Uplink clear channel assessment (CCA) status is disclosed as a new uplink control message for new radio (NR) unlicensed (NR-U) operations. When an opportunity for potential uplink transmissions arises for a user equipment (UE), the UE will perform a CCA procedure on available uplink resources. The UE reports the results of the CCA procedure to a serving base station via an uplink control message, such as an uplink control information (UCI), physical uplink control channel (PUCCH), or the like. The serving base station may then use the CCA results in scheduling uplink transmissions and reserving uplink resources.

Abstract: Technology-specific listen before talk (LBT) parameter adjustments are disclosed for common energy detection (ED) thresholds. Some of the technologies sharing access to the same shared communication spectrum include additional access deferral procedures. Such technologies may be configured with additional compensating features to increase the likelihood of fairness in spectrum access across all technologies sharing a common ED threshold. Such additional compensating features may include a reduced contention window size relative to the technologies that do not include such additional access deferral procedures, increased maximum channel occupancy times (COTs) for longer transmissions, and the like. Each such additional compensating feature may be available under different circumstances, such as always available or available in response to the node activating one of the additional access deferral procedures. Additionally, such additional compensating features may, once initiated, be active and available for a predetermined period of time.
