Abstract: The present invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition for the prevention or treatment of CFC (cardiofaciocutaneous) syndrome comprising a TGF-β signaling pathway inhibitor or a BMP signaling pathway activator. The treatment of SB-431542 or BMP4 protein was confirmed to increase the ALP activity and bone mineral deposition in the osteoblasts originated from the induced pluripotent stem cells derived from CFC syndrome patients. Thus, the TGF-β signaling pathway inhibitor containing SB-431542 or the BMP signaling pathway activator containing BMP4 protein can be effectively used for the prevention or treatment of CFC syndrome.

Abstract: A dual-polarized antenna with high isolation is disclosed. A first differential signal feeding unit extends from a first input port toward one side of a patch radiator through a dielectric substrate, and is branched into a balun structure to provide first and second feeding probes for differentially feeding vertically polarized signals to opposite first and second portions of the patch radiator. A second differential signal feeding unit extends from a second input port toward another side of the patch radiator through the dielectric substrate, and is branched into the balun structure to provide third and fourth feeding probes for differentially feeding horizontally polarized signals to opposite third and fourth portions of the patch radiator. When feeding the vertically polarized signals through the first and second feeding probes, a virtual ground region in which there is little electric field is formed in the center portion of the patch radiator. The cross-sectional polarization components of the third and fourth probes are also greatly reduced, so that they hardly exist. A soft surface structure surrounding the patch radiator and the first to fourth probes can improve the radiation pattern deterioration caused by diffraction of surface waves.

Abstract: Disclosed are an integrated inspection system for a 3D printing process using a thermal image and a laser ultrasound wave and a 3D printing system having the inspection system. The inspection system includes a thermal imaging camera for creating a thermal image of a molten pool formed in a printing object when a base material supplied to the printing object is melted by a laser beam irradiated from a 3D printing laser source, a laser ultrasonic device for receiving a laser ultrasonic wave included in the laser beam reflected from the printing object, and a control unit for estimating a physical property of the printing object and detecting a defect of the printing object based on the thermal image created by the thermal imaging camera and the laser ultrasound wave received by the laser ultrasonic device. The thermal imaging camera and the laser ultrasonic device are disposed coaxially with the 3D printing laser source.

Abstract: Disclosed are a method and apparatus of estimating a depth of a molten pool formed during a 3D printing process, and a 3D printing system. A surface temperature of the molten pool is measure by taking a thermal image of a laminated printing object during the 3D printing process with a thermal imaging camera. The measured surface temperature is compared with a melting point of the base material to determine a surface boundary of the molten pool. The maximum lengths in x-axis and y-axis directions of a surface region of the molten pool defined by the surface boundary of the molten pool are determined as a length and a width of the surface of the molten pool, respectively. A maximum depth in the z-axis direction of the molten pool is determined in real time based on the length and width of the surface region of the molten pool.

Abstract: The method of operating an image device comprises receiving an input of virtual tissues modeled with an arbitrary shape and a quantitative feature, simulating a TOF change or a signal strength change of ultrasound data having penetrated the virtual tissues modeled with a speed-of-sound distribution or an attenuation coefficient distribution in a first and in a second direction, and creating an image pair representing the TOF change or the signal strength change, creating a speed-of-sound distribution image or an attenuation coefficient distribution image of each of the virtual tissues as a ground truth of an image pair created in the corresponding virtual tissue, and training a first neural network that reconstruct the speed-of-sound distribution image from an input image pair or training a second neural network that reconstructs the attenuation coefficient distribution image from the input image pair.
