Abstract: A wake up signal scheme between a network and a user equipment (UE) operating in a Discontinuous Reception (DRX) state. The UE monitors a wake up signal (WUS) occasion to determine whether a WUS is received during the WUS occasion, when the WUS is received, determines whether the WUS identifies the UE, when the WUS is received and identifies the UE, monitors an OnDuration of a Discontinuous Reception (DRX) cycle corresponding to the WUS and when the WUS is not received or the WUS does not identify the UE, remains in a sleep state during the OnDuration corresponding to the WUS.

Abstract: A user equipment (UE) is configured to receive from a base station a semi-persistent scheduling (SPS) configuration for physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) transmissions wherein multiple PDSCHs are transmitted within a single period of the SPS, the SPS configuration including a parameter for a number of hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) processes associated with the SPS configuration, receive from the base station a downlink control information (DCI) transmission for activating the SPS configuration, the DCI including a HARQ process ID for one of the PDSCH transmissions in the SPS configuration, wherein the UE determines a maximum number of PDSCH transmissions allowed within the single period based on the parameter for the number of HARQ processes associated with the SPS configuration, validate the DCI to determine time domain resources to use for the PDSCH transmission and receive from the base station the multiple PDSCH transmissions within the single SPS period.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides apparatuses, systems, methods, and machine readable storage medium for physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) transmission between a user equipment (UE) and a base station, based on a robust codebook. In an embodiment, a UE, including circuitry operable to: report a UE capability of the UE to a base station, wherein the UE capability comprises a number of phase tracking reference signal (PT-RS) antenna ports (NPT-RS) supported by the UE; decode control signaling received from the base station, wherein the control signaling comprises at least one parameter to indicate a precoder selected from a codebook based on at least the NPT-RS; and perform physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) transmission according to the indicated precoder; wherein the codebook is predefined or configured based on different numbers of PT-RS antenna ports and different waveforms, in the UE and the base station.

Abstract: Systems and methods for beam failure recovery (BFR) are disclosed herein. A user equipment (UE) receives downlink (DL) reference signal(s) on corresponding beam(s) from a base station. The UE performs beam failure detection (BFD) on such beams used for user data to determine whether a beam failure has occurred, and candidate beam detection (CBD) on such beams not used for user data to identify candidate beams for recovering from the beam failure. The BFD and the CBD are based on both uplink (UL) channel performance considerations and DL channel performance considerations, as determined using the DL reference signal(s), such that a beam failure may be determined in the UL, the DL, or both, and a candidate beam may be identified for UL, DL, or both. The UE sends a beam failure recovery request BFRQ with this information to the base station, and the system changes beams accordingly.
