Abstract:
A scribing system comprising a mounting mechanism, stylus, and force generating mechanism is provided. The mounting mechanism is configured to rotate an elongated object in such a manner that the object is subjected to a bow effect wherein a middle portion of the object bends relative to the end portions of the object. The stylus is for scribing the object at a position x along the long dimension of the object while the mounting mechanism rotates the object. The force generating mechanism is connected to the stylus so that the stylus applies the same constant force to the elongated object regardless of the position x along the long dimension of the object that the stylus is positioned, while the mounting mechanism rotates the object and thereby subjects the object to the bow effect, thereby scribing the object.
Abstract:
A cross laser device for installing plate- or board-shaped floor covering elements on a flat substrate includes a housing which can be positioned on the substrate by feet, and at least one first and one second laser disposed within the housing, by which first and second laser beams emerging through first and second front light exits of the housing can be generated for the formation of first and second marking lines on the substrate, which marking lines intersect at right angles at an intersection point spaced apart from the light exits. An underside of the housing is spaced apart from the substrate such that first and second clearance zones beneath the housing extend continuously from first and second side edges of the housing up to first and second vertical planes, respectively, the first and second laser beams being located in the first and second vertical planes, respectively.
Abstract:
The present invention pertains generally to marking and/or measuring surfaces adjacent to the curved and/or off angle object's surface, positioned perpendicularly to the working surface or positioned on the same surface plane as the object's surface. Particularly, the present invention should and/or will be useful for the hardwood/laminate/parquet/engineering flooring installers and/or any kind of residential and/or commercial construction workers and/or for amateur performers. As the level of difficulty during the wood flooring installation around curved and/or off angle surfaces arises, and there are limited number of workers who can perform such trade, the TOOL, METHOD AND MARKING SYSTEM, will enable anyone who is familiar with the trade to perform the complicated assignment in a shorter period of time and without waste of material; moreover, it will allow performers to acquire the craftsmanship results.
Abstract:
A tool for tracing horizontal lines on curved surfaces configured so that it can receive two spirit levels and a slider to allow for one level to push against a ruler so as to give the ruler a curvature similar to that of a wall.
Abstract:
The present invention comprises an apparatus and method for accurately and safely cutting residential siding members. A specialized tool and saw guide system comprise two hingedly connected plates to securely hold and balance the siding member during the cutting process, as well as resilient saw guides for guiding a saw blade. The device allows for both a straight edge cut and an angled cut to match a conventional roof pitch. Additional embodiments are anticipated to provide for various angled cuts.
Abstract:
An apparatus of a radius table with spokes which supports a glass pane. The glass pane centered by a centering system. The spokes having a measuring device which is urged into contact with the glass pane thereby allowing determination of the required length of a false hollow muntin bar for formation of a muntin bar pattern within a multi-pane window unit. The cut muntin bars placed proximal spokes. A radial template placed proximal the placed muntin bars to secure the muntin bars to the radial template by muntin clamps. The radial template with attached muntin bars removed from the radius table and transported for fabrication of a multi-pane window unit.
Abstract:
A cutting mat comprises: a baseboard defined with an assembling hole and at least one notch on a side of the assembling hole, a positioning member detachably disposed in the assembling hole, and a cutting board. The positioning member includes a circular body and at least one positioning protrusion formed on a side of the circular body and located in a corresponding position to the notch of the baseboard. The cutting board is formed at the bottom thereof with a circular recess for engaging the circular body of the positioning member, so that the cutting board is rotatably superposed on the baseboard. When the positioning member is inversely disposed with the positioning protrusion being protruded from the top surface of the baseboard, and the circular body and the positioning protrusion are partially received in the assembling hole and the notch of the baseboard, the circular recess and the positioning notch of the cutting board will be engaged with the positioning member and a part of the positioning protrusions; as a result, the cutting board is unrotatably positioned on the baseboard.
Abstract:
A mechanical scribing apparatus with controlling force of a scribing cutter for adaptively separating each unit of thin film solar cells formed on a single substrate, which is always capable of performing a predetermined minute scribing of a work in accordance with a wear loss of a scribing cutter. This apparatus is provided with a scribing means for placing a scribing cutter having a cylindrical body tapered at a specified tapering angle and having a flat tip face at a specified surface position of the work, pressing the cutter with a specified pressure force to the surface of the work and moving the cutter on the surface of the work, a means for measuring the size of a flat tip face of the scribing cutter and a means for variably controlling the pressure force of the scribing cutter in accordance with the measured size of the flat tip face of the cutter.
