摘要: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A repeater extends coverage of wireless communications services between two wireless nodes (a base station and a user equipment (UE)). A network control node (e.g., a base station) receives a first indication of a capability of a repeater to detect a time division duplexing (TDD) pattern of a channel between the base station and the UE. The base station transmits, to the UE and via the repeater, one or more parameters associated with the UE performing one or more channel measurements and reference signals for the channel measurements. The base station transmits, to the repeater, a second indication of a TDD pattern of the channel based on the capability of the repeater. Based on the indication of the TDD pattern, the repeater adjusts one or more radio frequency components of the repeater.

摘要: A wireless networking system is disclosed. The wireless networking system includes an application layer associated with one or more applications having a wireless bandwidth requirement. A first wireless transceiver resource associated with an actual MAC layer and PHY layer is employed. The first wireless transceiver resource has a first bandwidth availability up to a first actual bandwidth. A second wireless transceiver resource associated with the actual MAC layer and the PHY layer is employed. The second wireless transceiver resource has a second bandwidth availability up to a second actual bandwidth. A processing layer evaluates the wireless bandwidth requirement and the first and second bandwidth availabilities of the wireless transceiver resources. The processing layer includes a bandwidth allocator to allocate at least a portion of each of the first and second actual bandwidths to virtual MAC and virtual PHY layers, and to satisfy the application layer wireless bandwidth requirement.

摘要: Apparatus and methods for multi-mode operation of a wireless-enabled device, including for extending the range of the wireless signal in a wireless network. In one embodiment, a multi-mode Consumer Premises Equipment (CPE) is provided utilizing “quasi-licensed” CBRS (Citizen Broadband Radio Service) wireless spectrum. In one variant, the apparatus and methods provide a solution to use a CPE in a Wi-Fi extender mode to extend Wi-Fi signal from a router. In another variant, a solution is provided to use a CPE in an LTE repeater mode to extend the LTE signal from an LTE eNB/gNB. In another embodiment, a CPE is used as a base station for a wireless network utilizing “quasi-licensed” CBRS (Citizen Broadband Radio Service) wireless spectrum.

摘要: Methods and systems are described for providing end-to-end beamforming. For example, end-to-end beamforming systems include end-to-end relays and ground networks to provide communications to user terminals located in user beam coverage areas. The ground segment can include geographically distributed access nodes and a central processing system. Return uplink signals, transmitted from the user terminals, have multipath induced by a plurality of receive/transmit signal paths in the end to end relay and are relayed to the ground network. The ground network, using beamformers, recovers user data streams transmitted by the user terminals from return downlink signals. The ground network, using beamformers generates forward uplink signals from appropriately weighted combinations of user data streams that, after relay by the end-end-end relay, produce forward downlink signals that combine to form user beams.

摘要: This disclosure provides methods, apparatuses and systems for placing a range extender (RE) based on a distance between the RE and an access point (AP). An RE may determine a distance between the RE and AP based on round trip timing (RTT) information. In some aspects, the RE may exchange fine timing measurement (FTM) frames with the AP. The RE may determine a distance between itself and the AP based on the RTT information. Based on the distance between the RE and AP, the RE may provide a coarse placement indicator for improving the RE's location. The RE also may determine a signal strength or channel state information (CSI) with respect to the AP. Based on the signal strength or the CSI, the RE may provide a fine placement indicator indicating the RE may be placed nearer or further from the AP, or remain at its current location.

摘要: A beam quality measurement method and devices are provided. The method includes: receiving, by a terminal, reference signals forwarded by wireless auxiliary device. The reference signals are transmitted by a network device and are separately forwarded by the wireless auxiliary device at different moments by using a plurality of beams. The method further includes performing joint processing on reference signals of a same beam of the network device and of a same beam of the wireless auxiliary device to obtain a processing result. The joint processing includes layer 1 filtering or layer 3 filtering.
